First point - clubs from the Championship and League One are a hell of a lot stronger than Queen of the South. Second point - if we can't beat Queen of the South with 3 or 4 of our best youngsters in the side, then there is something seriously wrong with our youth development.

I wish Walter would stop playing full-strength sides in games like these. Games like these are priceless opportunities for 3 or 4 younger guys to come in and gain some top team experience - U-21 football doesn't come close to a senior cup tie and if guys like Little are good enough to play international football now then they're good enough for Palmerston FFS.

The one positive of this latest SFA shambles is that the whole of the UK can now see Scottish football for the agenda-driven, bheast-run circus it has been for too long. When Lafferty went down like a sack of spuds against Aberdeen we were to a man completely embarrassed by it and unanimously condemned Lafferty for his actions. Can't argue with any of that, particularly the last sentence. The English are now getting a taste of what happens when you dare to play the bheasts off the park. I'm reasonably sure I can remember somebody diving in a game before, coincidentally in green and grey hoops.
