  1. How bad are the roads etc in Scotland at the moment?
  2. Beat me to it.
  3. Don't be banking on smoking session:
  4. Liverpool, please!
  5. Lafferty's good for celebrating like that.
  6. Sash-bash is, or once was, part and parcel of following Rangers. Maybe not for everyone, but any time I'm over the ferry, boat and pub is usually bouncing. It's usually in the company of like minded people. To me it's banter, nothing more. You don't have to an orangemen to sing the sash or other songs from NI though. Perception's in the eye of the beholder, and sash bashes don't annoy me nor do rebels doing their bit. I live close enough to a republican area and every August they have some festival that includes late night parties, there's plenty of song and chants one would deem offensive coming out of it yet, not once have I ever felt the need to complain.
  7. Good answer.
  8. You've picked me up wrong mate or I've come across wrong. I was meaning that when I travel to a match, I am not going to stop having a sash-bash because people go out of their way to be offended.
  9. Sorry bud, that wasn't aimed you. More in general terms. I'm still drunk from last night. Two bottles of red isn't the correct preparation for a day work and presentations!
  10. Butcher is as bas them. He's came out a few times claiming favouritism towards us by referees.
  11. Absolutely Frankie. I only sing/chant at football grounds, maybe even in the bus or pub pre and post match, but it's all within the realms of the football experience. As for using fenian in a debate, no I wouldn't use it. I don't debate that much - more of a spectator than a participant. If I do find myself in a debate I certainly won't use fenain or other so called derogatory term. Banter excluded of course'
  12. They're claiming all the ground due the fact they systematically position themselves in places of power, complain, then use a well oiled propaganda machine and in football related terms, our club has no backbone. Anything that isn't Celtic will be labelled as some sort of protestant established organisation. From that, people tend to let it go for fear of reprisals in one shape or form. To be honest, if I want to sing the famine song, TBB or NPOR, then I will. Nobody can stop me, you or anyone else.
  13. In what context do we use fenian? I'm not being naive here but, when we use the word it's generally aimed at septic fans. I don't see folk coming out of chapel and think to my myself"what a bunch of fenian bastards. I do however think along those lines when seeing folk in green and grey hooped tops. They call themselves 'fenians' because they see themselves as warriors, yet when we, Rangers fans, use it, it is seen as offensive. We're called huns right across the board in Scotland and nothing is done about it. Why shouldn't we use fenain when discussing septic fans? Isn't it ironic that the only people who find it offensive are the same people who use it themselves! Have you ever heard of one Rangers fan calling another bear a hun? I haven't.
  14. That's the club's mentality right now. They think it's a success to hold onto players instead of buying. Our squad is desperately in need of fresh faces right now and our league defence hinges on it, IMO.
  15. Exactly, plus any player will go for the right price. In our case the price is often pittance to what others would negotiate.
  16. I'm not sure tbh. I have had very little to say on the matter..I've sat back this time and read statements about statements and opinions from us ordinary bears. I will believe it when I see it.
  17. That mob would have no problem in chopping him down and injuring him. Vile cretins.
  18. Where's that?
  19. Definitely mate, although what MF has mentioned is now in play. Whyte could stick to his guns and with the promise of the club going forward on the financial front, and the ability to buy players that could see us continue domestic dominance, Miller will have to like it or lump it. It'd be a case of, here's the offer, we're going onto better things, it's up to you!
  20. What's his priorities: Stay in Scotland with Rangers and continue to play the best football of his career, and be close to his family? Move Dubai or somewhere similar and earn big money? If he's to leave then he'd probably remembered for being a mercenary regardless of how he has performed lately. There's maybe another 2 top seasons in him that would give him the opportunity to cement his place as an Ibrox legend, or at least be thought of in a very high regard.
  21. Bet he wishes he never went near England:devil:
  22. Whoever it'll be better make sure they're thumping teams in an Barcelona-esque style of play. And that they win all competitions. Would 'poison chalice' be the wrong phrase for Newcastle's manager's hot seat?
  23. Or Lollerpool in January?
  24. Most clubs would see that as a success!
  25. Would £2 million for Miller be considered bad business? His age and the fact that he can leave for nowt in the summer would have me biting their hands off for it, if it were true of course.
