  1. Couldn't agree more. We suck at PR as fans, our own worst enemies sometimes.
  2. I feel for the man's kids who went to school in black bin bags last year.
  3. Clearly the title "Non-Executive Director" wasn't enough to inform Keef what to expect from Dave King
  4. The entire alleged con was a very complex and highly tuned operation, I notice a lot of people underestimating the perpetrators or thinking that Whyte and Co just "got lucky" and landed in the room with SDM at the right time for a deal to be done. Nothing could be further from the truth but thankfully Police Scotland and BDO seem to be a little more appreciative of their "skills".
  5. The nature of the offending texts and the time period they were accumulated over shows that this wasn't a one off slip of the tongue and belies a fairly problematic mindset. That kind of attitude doesn't just go away with a bit of reflection but I do agree that there should be a chance of redemption, I just don't think its appropriate here.
  6. https://twitter.com/Ruth_Less_Lady/status/807967486498967554 Clearly offside when you see it slowed down. Fantastic decision.
  7. The best we (as Rangers) can hope for is a"foreigner" be appointed to the higher echelons of our game at some point. The pool has been pissed in too often.
  8. Dodoo AND Garner up front would be a real threat, both can finish but Garner's industry would let Dodoo find space to finish.
  9. Their passing and ball control look better too. St Johnstone zipped that ball about the park last night with pace and their players were able to deal with it and distribute (often astray to be fair). If you're going to set your stall on a possession based footing then it's reasonable to expect the basics of ball control and passing to be a real strength.
  10. When a blind man could see the issues with the rigid playing style, powder puff physicality and the generous defence I think criticism is valid no matter where we were 5 years ago.
  11. Not for the first time but I'm really angry about this. Angry, frustrated and to be honest a bit despondent about the situation we find ourselves in. Fully behind any protest or action by the fans but the club HAS to make a stand here. They are fighting the entire football establishment in Scotland now, this much is clear.
  12. It seems so obvious doesn't it? My only fear would be keeping 3 centre backs fit....
  13. Somehow we've managed to find ourselves on the margins of society and this drives the now mainstream view that Rangers are "fair game". The country as a whole has become split along political lines rather than the traditional prods v tims (which is still a large factor) but now Rangers are seen as a Unionist/British entity against a backdrop of growing anti-British sentiment (see SNP & Labour in the last 3 years for evidence). Furthermore, the insinuation is that we are xenophobic, racist and basically the footballing equivalent of Nigel Farage, the Tories and Darth Vader combined. I firmly believe that we've missed a trick as a club and a support. We should be hailing from the roof tops about how diverse our support really is, we should be engaging with community groups in Govanhill, Castlemilk and beyond with large multicultural demographics and forcing the political class to take notice. I stood on the club deck concourse at the Ross County game and saw Sikh, Chinese, Black, White and Eastern European fans either outside on Edmiston Drive or inside the stadium wearing scarves etc without a care in the world and certainly not deterred from the club by the attempts of some to paint us as intolerant xenophobes. By downplaying or keeping stoic about the positive side of our club and support we play right into the hands of the REAL intolerant groups shaping the debate.
  14. As has been said elsewhere today, imagine Warburton had said that? He'd be "cracking under the pressure" and "lashing out at media outlets" etc etc.
  15. Being a member of the NSS (National Secular Society) does not mean you aren't religious, it means you wish to see religion a vastly reduced role in public life. We know of course that Joey is an Atheist because he's said so numerous times but it's worth making the distinction. As you were.
  16. I don't think Warburton is naive enough to think Kranjcar is a box to box midfielder, his creativity and ability to take the ball in close and distribute WILL be invaluable for us as the season progresses. We'll play a lot of teams who'll pack the 18yard line with bodies and he can unlock them if his team mates are tuned into what he can do. he'll also chip in a few goals as we've seen. Very unfair to write him off.
  17. Terrible things happen when a group of people are ignored and marginalised in society. How many more notches can it be ratcheted up before there is genuine blood on the streets?
  18. Pretty much everything positive that we are today has been orchestrated by Dave King so it's appropriate he gets the honour of unfurling the Championship flag. Putting aside SDM's recklessness and legacy, I always enjoyed him unfurling the flag.
  19. If he can pull the strings the way he looks like he could this season and we go on to #55, he'll be confirmed as a cult hero.
  20. "I am never happier than when the outside world has us beaten before a ball is kicked - for then I know the true greatness of our club will be revealed"- Bill Struth
  21. If Warburton can pull off the unthinkable and win the league all bets are off. Warburton Academy Training & Preparation Centre or the WATP Centre for short.
  22. One does hyper-appreciate the occasional left-field rant from you Calscot
