  1. Davie Weir epitomises what a footballer should be. He's intelligent well spoken and a good Ger
  2. Not sure anyone could argue with that. In fact I've not seen anything definitive about how much he actually has.
  3. What I'm thinking isn't necessarily that he sold the shares and sent the money to Banstead, more along the lines of Whyte yet again apparently not using his own money (starting to think my son's piggybank has more money than him), through wheeling and dealing.
  4. Just a thought, when was this done compared to the apparent £250k 'given' to Banstead Athletic?
  5. Aw brilliant! I think it's good for girls to play in traditionally boy teams. In my experience, all girl teams were pointless (until I joined a local ladies football team who were excellent). The coaching was never as robust. We were lucky though, we had SFA coaches etc and I was invited to train/apply for the girls Under 15's Scotland team. I have a son who we think will start with team when he goes to school - for fun more than anything - but if I had a girl I would encourage to play (if she wanted to). It's tough for girls but you know you've made it when your not the last picked for a kickabout
  6. Never spotted me then It's definitely more comfortable now than even several years back. But then, I played football all through school (with the 'boys' team) and went on the summer SFA courses etc so I got used to being 'the only girl' or at least 'the only girl who doesn't scream when she gets the ball'
  7. Also, I think it's good to see all the supporter groups working together. For this to work, that has to happen and how well they manage this initial stage will give us good insight.
  8. Loving these! Mine are not quite so exciting! I grew up on the Black Isle out of Inverness, away from the Old Firm. I started supporting Rangers as a kid (I swear I couldn't tell you why) but my dad and I would go to Ross County or Caley games - my dad was delighted I got in to football, he's a big Ger and a Toffee and with two daughters never thought he'd be taking one to the football My first game at Ibrox was a 2-0 win over Aberdeen. I clearly remember the Aberdeen fans singing 'we hate celtic more than you' and 'we're sheep shagging bastards' hahah. I was 19, having moved to Glasgow on my own not long before. Since that game, I've been CL games, Europa games, Scottish cup, CIS cup, league games and every single one gives the goose bumps. Hearing the CL music is incredible and I love taking my old dad to games, I feel like it's my turn now. So no real Rangers childhood game stories, nor any traditional Rangers/Celtic rivalry as a child, Inverness was far removed from it all.
  9. I've pledged £500 just now as I went with the minimum I could do rather than my ideal amount. I'm hoping it would be more. 4190 members already though
  10. Ok. I might have to come off the fence a bit now, on the side of Whyte is a crook.
  11. I'm quite surprised that 11 people solely blame SDM. The current situation, being administration is due to non payment of PAYE/NI during Whyte's tenure so I would have expected the Whyte and Murray votes to be the other way round. Murray has culpability yes in selling to Whyte and potentially the illegal use of EBT's but even the Administrator's confirmed the reasons we are in it just now.
  12. We need someone with visio to do a bloody chart on how all the companies link!
  13. Sorry I mean has the rangertaxcase site been discussed before? I'm assuming it must have been. I've read bits before and of course they completely denigrate the tabloids, so was looking to find out more about those who run the site etc. Just didn't want to start another new thread was all
  14. Is there a thread somewhere here on the RTC website?
  15. Although I think the SFA have culpability too, seeing as they were blocked with their fit and proper investigation and just appear to have dropped it. Unless I picked that up wrongly?
  16. Um I'm kind of on the fence I just feel it's still all too early to know one way or the other. However, I will agree that I am sick of our reputation being dragged through the mud.
  17. Starting as a trickle but it's going to get worse
  18. When we say 'wrong' are we talking legally and/or morally? Because that might be what it comes down to.
  19. Sorry but I don't see how responding with TBB is a good idea. TBF I grew up where Religion has nothing to do with anything really so maybe I don't get IT. But I won't agree with Rangers fans being suckered into singing an Sectarian song. Are we that silly?
  20. LMAO. Billionaire. Hahahaha Not a mention there of insolvencies, banned from being a director etc. I'm not sure I should give my true Traynor opinion. A lady never says the word cunt...oops
  21. I think you missed my point. It may have been sung for 5 seconds or 50 seconds but people DO remember. If we want to support our team and our club, besmirching it's name is not the way forward. Why give the media something else to hit us with? Who wants to come out in support of a club whose fans when showing their support sing like that? I KNOW it's a minority, I KNOW it's changed a lot. I do. Doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement and I take issue that you assume I can't think for myself and jump on a media bandwagon. My initial point was also about the fines Rangers incurred through Uefa for the chants, at a time we could ill afford to pay them and I was questioning how that would help the club now, to get in more trouble.
  22. I thought the two reasons for the ban were: 1. The editing of McCoist at the Sectarian panel where they made it look as if McCoist thought the whole thing funny and was being inappropriate, and 2. The Craig Whyte exposé. My understanding is they apologised to McCoist (and on air in two bulletins) and Whyte is no longer in charge of the club so from those aspects I can see why the ban is lifted.
  23. Depressed and confused with this. I hope the Administrators can clear this up for us quickly
  24. I agree with you, I do. I know it's not as prevalent now as it was, I had just hoped that Saturday would have been clear from it. It might be a small issue, but it's one picked up with regularity and blown up to suit different agendas. I merely hoping we could remove one less stick to be beaten with.
