What a superb article by John outlining the inconsistencies in this law and in the logic of the Celtic minded lawyers etc. It is not surprising this is where we are at but we need to ram this message home again and again. This is all about equality but there are people in this country in positions of power who are abusing their powers to ensure there is no equality for us. Having said that, this is a dreadful law that needs to be repealed as a matter of principle on the grounds of free speech, not simply because it is now being applied to them. The stench of hypocrisy is overwhelming in this little country of ours where it is okay to be anti English but not be pro the union. This is indeed a political fight.

You are absolutely right, Amms, the present set up isn't working but asking the clubs to give up their control over youngsters requires a level of altruism that doesn't exist in football.

The situation we find ourselves in is not an acceptable one. I would prefer the CEO to be working behind the scenes to deal with this, not through statements on the website or in the press which only pave the way for loudmouth Chairmen and fans in a repeat of last seasons sporting integrity fiasco.

I am not a fan of this type of so called humour. It is ok for some harmless fun but this is done with malicious intent and will have consequences for Sandaza. There should be some protection for people in the law against these sorts of things. Phone tapping is only allowed under special circumstances and this strikes me as being a similar sort of thing. It is yet again another example of abuse of modern technology that the law needs to catch up with. Don't get me wrong, I am all for freedom of the press, freedom of speech and association etc but this impinges on Sandaza's freedom. For what it's worth, I agree with GS, he could have said a lot worse and in some ways it has backfired. Unlike David Murray Sandaza has been duped.

I thought that months ago about Shiels. He's obviously not a bad player but has been poor for quite some time. I was surprised that Ally persisted in playing him. Would have been a kindness to rest him.

They can't put out renewals until they know where we are playing.

I find that statement quite worrying. Last week Ally was agreeing with Charles Green that this is the poorest Rangers team ever. Today he comes out with a very defensive, inarticulate and cryptic speech that is as clear as mud. When I first read it I felt quite piqued that Ally was dismissing our opinions. Nothing can excuse the crap tactics and the dreadful lack of effort on the park. I think the fans deserve a better explanation. At the same time, I think enough of Ally to accept that something is amiss. Time will tell and I don't think we will have long to wait.

If a balanced, reasoned and measured approach was being taken to this, everyone would be calling for us to be promoted if reconstruction takes place. There are too many Turnbull Huttons, vociferous but bringing nothing to the debate.

What a dreadful article on John Yorkston. I was feeling some sympathy for them until I was reminded of his vociferous role in the appalling judgement of us by everyone and their granny. It still hurts.

To be fair to Longmuir, he is asking for 2 leagues of 10 to avoid the scenario where this season's games would prove meaningless. There seems to be a few on twitter hinting that we will be accelerated to League 2 which won't be required if we get the 2 leagues of 10 (which is basically ignoring what the fans are saying about playing each other 4 times). Whole thing is a mess. If they don't take this opportunity which is before them to accelerate us through the leagues then they are crazy. All clubs are motivated by self interest. The whole thing is depressing.

I too have been a wee bit disappointed with Templeton but I think we should cut him some slack. It takes players a long time to settle at Rangers and some longer than others. To start to throw negative comments at him will do nothing for his confidence. I am not aiming this at anyone but just saying as a support we are guilty of getting on top of players. He clearly has great potential and I think with our encouragement that he could flourish into the great player we hope for.

Agreed. Head says "yes", heart says "no". We are so far behind that they would still be winning the champion's League spot but gaining from our presence. We should make our way back up the leagues.

Contrast this with Richard Wilson's article. I cannot recall one thing he has said in Rangers favour since this verdict last week.

Richard Wilson has been the one journalist who has consistently dealt with the truth over the last year and for that he should be commended. While other radio punters, journalists, club CEO (singular) and Manager are weeping and wailing as their preconceived certainty of guilt goes up in smoke. Sadly their paranoid conspiracy theories will be around for a long time. There is little wonder we are wearing rather large smiles these days
