  1. Pull up the ladder, Jack. We're all right. - They hope.
  2. In fact it's recognition of Saints' LC triumph. A strangely magnanimous gesture by celtic. (Was lennon in it?)
  3. Underwhelmed, I'm afraid. Mega thanks to Elgin City. The good old Black and Whites duff the Spiders to usher the 'Gers over the line.
  4. Rangers in financial meltdown because of Craig Whyte. That's stunning news. Why weren't we told before now?
  5. Liquidators don't do running commentaries. We're going to have a long wait.
  6. Keegan? Only if Dacid Icke and Yuri Geller turn it down. di Matteo? Got the boot from the Albion. Did ok at Chelsea but look at the talent at his disposal and they had a huge heap of luck. Calderwood knows the business and he'd be cheap.
  7. A missed opportunity is always a failure.
  8. "Green deflects from another poor performance." No, he doesn't. Nothing can deflect from the current performances. Anyway, Green's beeen going on about this for a while.
  9. "hope he does hes a family friend. free tickets for me" Support the club and pay at the gate ya cheapskate.
  10. I don't want my memories of the best foreigner by miles to play in Scottish football to be tarnished by managerial failure (Greig, McCoist) or even managerial mediocrity. We need a tradesman manager. McInnes has never been on my wanted list but if he succeeds at Aberdeen he might turn out to be just the man. Say what we like about Aberdeen it's a good proving ground for managers.
  11. Sandaza was a fool but he was induced by false pretences to disclose commercial information so if he's got grounds of action I'll be very pleased to see a smart alec get his come-uppance. The only question - what damage did FS suffer? Quite a lot if he gets the sack but I doubt if Rangers can do that even if they want to.
  12. I saw some names in Leggo's article. As I said the HC Glesca Boys. Or should that be "bhoys"? Great stuff D'Art. Articulate persistence will get you places where the ranters won't.
  13. Top QCs? Doubt it. Just the High Court Glesca Boys..
  14. Caldow,Greig, Baxter, Henderson and Wilson (+ Law) managed by Ian McColl (and to show my lack of bias, Smith, Johnstone, Reilly, Brown, White and McKay) = Scotland the Great. Went off the national side after the shabby treatment of Gough and Robertson.
  15. They're a dreary bunch, the Timmish are they not? Boring for Ireland as usual. I bet the inhabitants of that dear land across the sea hope to God they never come back.
  16. Borussia Dortmund didn't have a Dortmund celtic playing in the same city with the local council packed with the other lot's fans. The theme of the article, however, is correct.
  17. The 80s team was a good side. It's just that they played badly and lacked confidence. If Ferguson or McLean had managed them they would have won a few trophies. Much better than the current squad.
  18. Done. Hope the young lady's tutors are not timmish. Colleges are full of the wasters while the rest of us get on with real work.
  19. Don't worry. City are poor in the winter. Warm weather team.
  20. Real trained at the Etihad. I don't think Sir A. complained and he's not slow to bleat if something's bothering him.
  21. "Cameroun Ace": "former Burnley and Reading star". Forgive me, but it's 50 years since Burnley had any "stars" and I doubt if Reading have ever had any. But if the player is a good, honest tradesman, he'll do fine.
  22. In reality the goodwill of a FC is thepunters who are prepared to turn up week in, week out. I still don't see how goodwill can be negative. Re-valued yes but negative? Contradiction in terms.
  23. "fuelled mainly by the release of negative goodwill of over £20m" What the hell is that? Forlan? Anyone?
  24. At Kilmarnock yesterday. Pity there weren't enough fans to hold them up. I don't watch (ahem) "top level football" very often but I saw the whole of the second half of Kilmarnock v Hibs. I thought the Killie keeper was a bit ropey, then I realised it was Cammy Bell! To be fair, he had nobody in front of him who looked like a defender so he should feel at home at Ibrox. Griffiths looked like a player but so would my granny if she'd been in that game. He also looked as if he'd been born for a hooped jersey. Talking about jerseys, what were Kilmarnock doing in red and white? I mind when they played in hoops too but respectable blue and white.
