  1. I see you called him a 'legend' the other day
  2. You shouldn't get plaudits for doing what is easily expected.
  3. I wouldn't expect to see the lineup change much.
  4. Did the club instruct Jack Irvine on his twitter conduct? He behaves like a child.
  5. Bayern were good for the win overall. The gulf between the Premiership and Germany/Spain is very significant at the moment. Chelsea will be the only team in the next round.
  6. Office club statement on the 17th of August 2013
  7. Young players with potential sell on value. Even just good players. Not many objected to us signing 34 year old Claudio Caniggia.
  8. What the heck are you going on about? Why mention the difference in crowds? The fact he can play good football with far less resources shows how superior he is to Ally.
  9. You would think the big team playing against the little team with 11 men behind the ball is some sort of novel concept. Not something that big teams all over the world contend with on a weekly basis. It didn't seem to cause us a problem under Dick Advocaat. Black has a nerve talking about 11 men behind the ball when you look at our tactics at corners.
  10. 1 player under the age of 25 against Albion Rovers. Absolutely embarrassing.
  11. Ian Black should be counting his lucky stars he has somehow found himself at a club like ours. Mind you, you could say the same about a lot of players we've signed in the past 10 years.
  12. Sounds just like a few fans I've read
  13. We are going somewhere. Backwards and rapidly.
  14. He's called Mourinho. Also, what you don't seem capable of grasping is we have been playing dire football for years. We have been getting dreadful results in the cup for years. The only thing new about yesterday is the excuses.
  15. I think the latest excuse I've seen is something along the lines of us having to adapt to smaller pitches.
  16. Our formation in 02/03 worked particularly well, often with De Boer dropping just off the main striker and Lovenkrands wide left. Lovenkrands was often wasted on the left but it worked that season. What helped against Celtic was they played 3 at the back and were easily exposed to pace on the flanks.
  17. When most teams play 1 main striker, it's often with wider forwards supporting in a front 3, or else a 4-2-3-1 with 3 players supporting the striker quickly when attacking. In fact a lot of teams nowadays have 3 or 4 players who often interchange in attack and false 9's are quite common. Sadly the Walter/Ally approach for 1 up front is...1 up front.
  18. So true............
  19. I will happily debate any points if the person presents a valid argument. It is actually you who completely misunderstood my original point by the way, see if you can work it out...
