  1. I've not read the article so I'm just basing this on the original statement of who had the better season. There is more to a season than just winning trophies. In fact given where we are, developing a brand of decent football and tactics with young players should have been imperative. If we had a team of young players playing terrific football week in week out I'd see this as an excellent season regardless of cup results. It would mean we had a strategic plan and finally out of the short term season by season, spend, spend, spend culture.
  2. You also can't discount the fact that we have played terrible football this season against part-time opposition. A very forgettable season.
  3. I'd rather we got a scouting network and actually found some proper talent and didn't just sign crumbs from the SPFL.
  4. Scouting network?
  5. It's funny that when the club finally starts sticking up for itself, it chooses to go after innocent supporters that bankroll it rather than the real enemies.
  6. I'm sure there will be a blueprint. Just won't be one that actually means anything. We've had plenty people talk a good game in recent years. Murray was the master of it until he couldn't be arsed anymore.
  7. Another 'youngster' we make no profit from and retain until practically in their mid 20's!
  8. Surely significant shareholders creating huge interest loans when there are far better offers on the table is verging on shaky legal territory?
  9. Another fine piece of business in other words. We make strange decisions with our youths.
  10. Scary that after we have all been through, someone actually thinks this is a good idea. High wages for 2 players who would be past in, just to get through the first division? If we win the first div next season, both players would turn 36/37 while in the SPFL and neither have much left in the tank. If we have any money to spend, which looks unlikely, it needs to be spent prudently. We should be focusing on players under 26/27, and ideally I'd like to see us doing similar to Liverpool with a focus on players 23 and under then the odd more experienced player. PS - I'd be surprised if the MLS is as poor as the bottom 6 of the SPFL, bearing in mind all the decent players there.
  11. A lot of the players we need rid of have contracts beyond the summer and would struggle to get moves, thus we would need to pay them off.
  12. I've never heard of him to be honest, it seems the only league we get players from now is the SPFL, and it's not a good place to look.
  13. I'm glad someone finally said it. I've not agreed with a single thing this guy has ever said.
  14. Aberdeen have got this, unfortunately.
  15. You don't remember something you typed a few hours ago ?
  16. yeah, lets take a step back. It has worked so well previously.
  17. A lot of the Aberdeen fans travelling aren't really supporters. There's a lot of folk jumping on the bandwagon who aren't really even into football.
  18. Caley would have been offered that if they had that many fans. 30k is almost half the population of Inverness.
  19. Man Utd are so atrocious. They pretty much need a whole new squad. Destroyed again at home, Liverpool have been all over them. There should have been more pens
  20. Caley normally have decent managers at least, or managers who do well. (Stevie Paterson, Craig Brewster etc seem to have disappeared) Not sure why they appointed him.
  21. Delete your post while you still can and sleep off the hangover. BH is a quality poster and does not deserve this
