  1. Not sure how that is possible but can't say I'm surprised. Mind boggling.
  2. I remember seeing a logo with Aye Ready on it when I was a kid.
  3. Even if we offered Hutton 50% of his wages, we can't go back to the days of paying players £20k a week when they aren't worth it.
  4. Why do we have to sign players from the Scottish leagues? It's a big world out there and it seems silly to restrict ourselves to a pool of players in a nation known for being very poor at the sport. As for being accepted as 'Rangers class by the legions'...I guess this boils down to the old chestnut of our home support being notoriously hard to please. I always find this quite odd though because I don't know many other clubs that would get the attendances that we do with such dire football. If Sam Allardyce plays 19th century football, I think our football would be before Christ....In fact I think it is pushing things to suggest that we do make any attempt to play football. The one thing Ally should get praise for is by winning a division with a team of players incapable of retaining possession for more than 2 passes at a time. Tongue firmly in cheek.
  5. Ally should do everyone a favour and go back to making jokes on TV. He is not cut out for management at any level.
  6. More people might be inclined to do so were the football not insulting to watch.
  7. They have a far better player to play his position now as well.
  8. Money for future shares sounds very fishy as well, and it probably doesn't tell half the story.
  9. Everyone is dancing to a certain tune at the moment. It's funny how when 1 or 2 people say something the rest flock like sheep.
  10. We're borrowing money just to keep afloat. I'm not sure how many times we have to financially collapse before the penny drops.
  11. If we were offered 900K (which we probably were not), it would have most likely been in monthly instalments and depending on certain circumstances. You can't really praise the board without knowing the facts. All we know is a bid was rejected. The bid may just have made absolutely no business sense whatsoever, and with Bain not here to accept it, it was rejected.
  12. A lot of these cronies still seem to be kicking about...
  13. As I say, in the likes of Spain sides like Bilbao are very reasonably paid. I'd hazard a guess the only sides generally paying high wages out with the top few in each league is England.
  14. I have no problem with the elite of any craft making huge amounts of money. The top talents of any industry will always be suitably paid and most sports are the same. Messi and Ronaldo should get paid a fortune. Middle of the road plodders in the Premiership should not get superstar salaries. In the likes of La Liga, wages tend to get paid proportionately based on ability and level. Players towards the bottom of the table are not that highly paid.
  15. Sam Allardyce is all that is wrong with British football. Hasn't come close to winning a significant trophy but gets paid millions to play horrific football.
  16. Lucas Neil was on something like £60k a week at West Ham. I'm sure there's even worse examples of dire players getting crazy wages in that mental league.
  17. The fans will never agree and to be honest I wouldn't want a lot of our fans having any input in the way we are run. I mean you have one message board (here quite rightly) recognising we are in trouble and the loan is a joke that will unlikely have a happy ending. Then you have another big message board that are all trying to claim this is a good thing! Even on Facebook, if you disagree with the way things are going at the moment, you are immediately labelled a Paul Murray fan. Me? I don't trust any of them!
  18. Both certainly have something in common. Zero chance of coming to fruition.
  19. Half bottles are usually dirty mixed blends.
  20. They will get destroyed by Barca in Spain and they have been consistently exposed in recent seasons. People are overestimating a win against a Bayern side that had nothing to play for. When Bayern had something to play for, they absolutely destroyed Man City and it should have been a cricket score. Spain, Germany etc are still miles ahead of the BPL. For a lot of last night, Man City looked barely fit to be on the same pitch.
  21. Whatever happened to renaming the stadium? Thought it was an embarrassing idea given the piddly amount on offer and nobody seemed to care.
  22. They weren't really linked with Zlatan. He just made a throwaway comment about maybe playing for them one day. And whenever we are interested in a player Ally always confirms the interest publicly so we know whats true and what isn't.
  23. Just the 22 goals for Commons this season. He was a quality player in the championship as well. The season he left Derby he was one of the top scorers in the championship at the time.
