  1. Why was he kept for multiple seasons? Our 50 + squad certainly isn't maintained to up keep the first team squad because when we get some injuries we don't even fill the bench
  2. Kept until near 22 with very few games. Utterly pointless. Very standard. Rinse and repeat.
  3. He will be no use whatsoever in the SPL. Get rid.
  4. If the board gave back the money they stole from us that might be a start.
  5. Hopefully doesn't have to wait until well into his 20's to get a look in.
  6. The football has been shite for 2 and a half years under Ally and wasn't much better under Walter. I think the excuse now is that we are playing hammer throwers who are just trying to stop us from playing. I think we are the hammer throwers to be honest.
  7. Ryan, why did you get banned on RM They are so fucking quick to ban folk for no reason
  8. So he is now paid > £400k to be inept as opposed to > £800k
  9. Fucked off for free with no interest in the club getting any money or anything. Basically every single player we had that had any offers left us. Only Wallace out of those who stayed could have gone on to a fairly decent team and he said he only stayed for family reasons. Pretty sad.
  10. Yeah, he's a decent keeper but how he left is unforgivable. Back on topic, Chelsea are top now (likely to change tomorrow) and I see us winning the league. We are heavily reliant on Hazard though.
  11. How could anyone like him?
  12. To be fair O'Neil's Celtic didn't play negatively in Europe, they often had a go playing 2 up front against decent teams. They did play horrible, route one football though, so I guess it's a different type of anti-football.
  13. I'm sure he'll be on a very modest wage.... I think we can make an educated guess based on what the other non playing staff get.
  14. He would be better off on the continent. Decent player but his career has fallen apart. Hull is a dreadful move for him.
  15. In fairness, we played the most negative football ever, particularly in that season in Europe. It is excusable against Barca in the champions league as pretty much everyone bar Bayern Munich will try similar. When we went with 5 at the back in the SPL (certainly played it v Celtic at Parkhead in a game where we never got near their half) though I wanted to gouge my eyes out.
  16. Whilst nobody can disagree with the general point you are making there, you seem quite passionate about this?
  17. Moyes has inherited a very poor team...
  18. Aye, would rather he stayed on there so I can avoid him
  19. Another thing that springs to mind. When was the last time we signed an obscure player that turned into a decent player? I think we would have to go way back there. Gattuso possibly? Ironically we played him at right back and he was mediocre with us. Bit of a fuck up there. The guy went on to become the standout defensive midfielder in world football winning the champions league, seria a and world cup. Possibly worth 30m+ at his peak? The tims seem to be able to do it. Wanyama signed for £900k and punted a couple of years later for £12.5m. I think that highlights a rather horrific gulf in the superior infrastructure that mob have.
  20. I'm genuinely at a loss as to whether you just blindly back whatever happens at the club, or whether you troll the board. I would have thought the disadvantages of signing an ageing player of likely limited ability with very little sell on value (if any) were quite apparent. I doubt there was much criticism when we signed 30 year old Ronald De Boer. Or the 34 year olds Frank De boer or Claudio Caniggia. 'Ageism'? More like a disregard for the typical shite we sign then pay off. I think the crux of the situation is that if we are singing players in the twilight of their careers, they need to provide a significant contribution. We have signed one too many Ostenstads, Emersons, Capuchos, Manieros etc for a life time
  21. Sounds a fantastic signing that will have a huge sell on value. Wonder how we found him. I doubt our scouting network is so advanced as to locate him on Football Manager.
  22. Fellaini is better as AMC instead of in the holding role. He proved at Everton that he's a quality player. The Man Utd side is terrible. Reminds me of Walter leaving our squad a mess before DA came in. Like our situation, Man Utd need to splash the cash. They produce zilch decent youth players so they need to go out and buy a tonne of top players.
  23. Man Utd have a pretty dire team and their squad is much worse than the top 4. Fergie winning trophies with such a poor squad is admirable but equally the fact he's signed so many poor players in the last 10 years suggests he is overrated. Rooney and a fit RVP are the only players in the Man Utd team that would get near the Chelsea team. Januzaj is quality but Chelsea have Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Willian etc who are all superior. For the record, Moyes proved at Everton that he's a decent manager but I don't think he is a great one. He was a strange appointment really. A club like Man Utd should be appointing a manager with a proven pedigree of competing for trophies and Champions League experience.
  24. Pretty sure one already did time for being a crook.
