Wouldn't like to get too cocky but - at home, providing we play to our strengths, and prevent Barca playing to theirs, we might have a chance...

Saw this article earlier and wondered the same thing. Strange how he wasn't covering the biggest domestic fixture of the season so far...

Rangers 3 : 0 Celtic - Player Ratings and MoM Poll
stewarty replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Yup, Fergie for me. He's in prime form this season. When he doesn't play well, invariably we (or Scotland) dont either. -
Agreed, I posted something similar in the other thread on this...

The thing that is double standards it that they've given Dida a two match ban but done hee haw about Juninho. Juninho's blatant dive was not considered worthy of their review on the basis that it did not affect the outcome of the match. Neither did Dida's yet he gets the ban!?

In fairness it's similar to the fines that we have had in the past so it seems fair enough. Also, it was a first offence for them albeit a particularly high profile one so I dont have any issues. If they received a massive fine it would go against the fines we and others have had.

Congratulations Frankie!

My potkettleometer just went into overdrive there. Gazza - yes I did enjoy myself. It was funny watching the tatty munchers get themselves all in a lather as one of their own puts a real dampener on a win over the European champions. Also, the drink consumed helped quite a lot. Was hob nobbing with Gordon Smith and Tom Boyd although I resisted Juffery's insistences that I ask Boyd what it was like to score for Brazil.

Had a good night out. Had to survive a wee incident on the gallowgate walking towards the stadium where some wee wank was imploring me to join in his singing "If you hate the fucking rangers clap your hands" (et al). That was quickly forgotten though when I got to the stadium and got stuck in to the free bar!!!

Just found out that it's a corporate tickets that I've got so I'll be with the Prawn sandwich brigade. I'll be representing my work so I'll need to be on best behaviour.

Got a ticket for my first game of the season in the Champions League this week but I have a dilemma........... The Scottish team since they're playing in Europe (co-efficients and all being at stake) or AC Milan?
-
Speaking of the Celtic goalkeeping performance versus Hibs, captain Stephen McManus today revealed that Artur Boruc's new nickname is "Thrombosis" because he's a slow moving clot!!! TAXI!!!!!
-
are they not doing their red button thing again this year?
-
he must be injured - there can be no other explanation and there have been no confirmed rumours of discontent.

No doubt it was a bad day at the office but I think it will provide the kick up the arse needed to focus the squad on the challenges ahead. I have my doubts over a few players in the squad based on recent performances but lets just give them a chance to turn it around. If we beat Stuttgart midweek methinks all will be forgotten (temporarily).

I'll go with that Gribz. Fleck to get an appearance off the bench...

SSN Killie Fold & Accept Gers Bid for Naisy
stewarty replied to Stefanovitch's topic in Rangers Chat
Rumour has it that he signed earlier today but it was agreed to keep the deal under wraps to make it look like a last minute thing. Lets hope so! -
Said so on Sky Sports website earlier today...

This norwegian lad better be good. I will not be happy if we have forked out the best part of £1m when we're haggling over a few grand for Naismith. At least Naisy has proven that he can perform at domestic level but can the same be said of this young lad? Who knows if he will be able to adapt to the style of play and how many of these young players end up leaving for nothing anyway. I'll happily be proved wrong but it just doesn't look right.

Anyone know if he's in the squad for the game tomorrow?
-
Boyd for me as per other thread.
-
Boyd for me too. I fancy Barry to chip in with 10-15 too.
-
From the SPL's point of view it would have been a bit harsh to impose sanctions based on one minor incident given all the effort the club has put in to promote the anti-sectarian message. I just hope the idiot element of our away support dont feel vindicated and continue with the singing tomorrow.

Enjoyed reading the article and a great one to have on Newsnow. Can we expect further such articles in the future Barry? Also, you hinted that Spiers may not wish to associate himself with radio phone-ins but I could swear he was on Clyde last week at some point.
