Hemdani's not done too badly when he's played centre half. I'm not saying I'd play Rae there but Ian Murray is a versatile defender who would do a decent job.
-
Me confused? RYD is owned by Rangers and is a separate entity to ensure that funds are ring-fenced by the club so that money for youth development is not spent on transfer fees or other areas of the club. Surely it would not make sense for RYD or Rangers to allow a situation where our best players are offloaded to the highest bidder

It would be unfair to criticise you for missing any games never mind one game that you know will probably be a turgid affair with no atmosphere.
-
I'll go for Hutton based on those choices but Ian Murray must be in with a shout when re returns to full fitness. Also, better stick Gavin Rae up there as an option for wee Fraser.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the debate continues.... I'm happier with Hutton playing than with Bardsley. PB hasn't done much to stand out and arguably neither has AH but if it's the choice between an short-term loan signing with reputed attitude problems and a Scottish young player brought through the ranks then I'll pick the latter, especially since there's not a lot to choose between them based on performances. Having said that, Alan Hutton needs to sort out his billy big time attitude - too many stories in the papers. He needs to forget going out boozing with his pals and focus on his career or else he'll end up playing part-time for Cowdenbeath rather than fulfilling his potential.

I think the article is quite right to temper our enthusiasm with a bit of reality. We haven't shown enough on the home front to suggest that we wont play anything like we did against Haifa today. Also, beating Haifa and Livorno, good wins in the context of our season they may be, but not exactly top class opposition. Having said all that - lets get right intae the DU today and give them a real doing. I just hope we play with a really high tempo today - always difficult on the back of a European game but thats what 3 subs are for!
-
Le Guen's always inclined to tinker with the line-up and freshen up given we had a tough game on Thursday but would like to see him show confidence in the players and play the same team
-
Well, we got two very dubious penalty decisions vs Maccabi Haifa.
-
Davie Cooper has to get in there somewhere for me.

Cant believe you didn't find room for Capucho, Emerson & Flo. Shocker!
-
I think Billy Thompson's doing a good job as it is - no reason to change it. Would love to see some legends back at Ibrox - Coisty coaching the strikers, Goughie working with the defense etc but cannae see it happening
-
You'd have to be a mug to take that job. Guarantee Levein doesn't make it it until next Christmas

Cheers, I knew that really!

Is it just me, or has the forum clock been put forward rather than back?

I think overall they do. I think that sometimes you dont realise how many decisions go your way when your winning and playing well insomuch that when your not playing well you notice every single one because it's crucial. Having said that, we have had a really rough few games, referee wise, so I can see how you might not believe that decisions do average themselves out. I would point out though, we simply haven't been good enough this season and there's no point pointing the finger at ref's when we should be pointing the finger at ourselves.

19 points from 12 games so far. Transitional period or no, this isn't good enough. Sadly, we're lacking the ability to kill teams off and we're getting caught out out too often. Even when we manage to score a couple of goals we're still letting the opposition back into the game by conceding soft goals. Admittedly some decisions have gone against us but we cant blame referee's as these types of decisions even themselves out over the season. Would like to see us go for the juggular a bit and play with a really high tempo. Still think we're going to give somebody a real doing some day but I've been saying that since the first game of the season.

Lol. I read that story too. What utter nonsense that totally undermines efforts to reduce sectarianism
-
There was a story about Hutton in the paper (either the Sun or the Rebel) this week about him trying to get into the Shed in Shawlands with a bunch of his mates who were all pissed. He was saying 'do you know who i am?' like a proper billy big time twat. That, if anything, will be his downfall. If he can knuckle down and concentrate on improving his game I reckon he will be a good player
-
I'll got for a chairman that nearly gets you bankrupt - oh, wait! We've already got one of those
-
No great surprise. Hope he gets a couple of games as a farewell though.

Steven Pressley is going to make a cracking manager when he hangs up his boots BTW.
-
With a bit of luck it galvanises the team into getting a result vs Celtic next weekend but it's not looking good for the Jam Tarts.
-
It's an interesting one. If his price is £3m then I would have doubts whether we would pay that much. He could favour Celtic given that his mates are there (Caldwell & Riordon) but he might look at Riordon and think he's never going to get a game. If he joins Rangers he's got stiff competition for a midfield berth (Fergie, Hemdani, Clement, Burke etc) and his chances might be limited. Rumour has it that he prefers Rangers so I guess we just need to wait and see. My money is on him being at Easter Road till at least the end of the season, although that opinion might change depending on who gets the managers job
