I think Darcheville and Broadfoot are injured. It's not until you start looking at the players NOT in the squad that you realise we actually have a fairly decent size squad. Compare that to this time last year under PLG. We have cover for more or less every position.
-
They have signed a Uruguyan player who seems to be quite good, but I still think they will struggle near the foot of the SPL this season
-
I officially nominate Gav for funniest user 2007/08. I never noticed thats what I had said either:cheers:

You cannot be serious. What exactly has Sebo done to justify this confidence in him? He is a waste of space and the sooner he is moved on the better imo

Sunderland Offer EIGHT Mil for Gordon.

FIVE MILLION for Chopra. They have got to be having a laugh. You betting guys should get down to the bookies and bet on them finishing bottom of the prem next year. What's next a 2 mill bid for Steven Thompson:fish: -

It's still too much and Hearts are absolutely off their heads for not accepting it. I hope CG stays til the end of his contract and Hearts get fcuk all for him -
Have to admit I'm not over the moon at this one especially with the price, but having said that at least we know a bit about him. We paid the same amount of money for Sebo a year ago and look at how he turned out. Lets get behind McCulloch and see how he does before judging him - that'sa wee note to myself as well as others:)
-
A few years back it thought Dragan Mladenovic was a good player!!:fish:
-
Big goughie was outstanding! We should get him signed up. Mot of the players played in little bits and pieces, Gough played 90 minutes. Wasn't the greatest of spectacles, but great to see some of the guys again.
-
He would be Ok as 3rd choice - for the reserve team
-
What I don't get is how come we're 'splashing' out on Whittaker and Cuellar, but weren't willing to spend the money on Naismith? WS must reckon RB and CB were bigger priorities. Would be a good signing though and good competition for Hutton
-
Same goes for Sebo IMO. Buffel's got to be one of the most frustrating players. Can be brilliant but doesn't half know how to shirk a 50/50
-
It's similar to us getting linked with players like Faubert Naismith etc and then us not offering anywhere near enough money
-
Just wait for the window. I can see it now 'Smith spotted at Glasgow airport' or the usual last day pish 'Fowler to Gers'
-
Ahh the wonderful Alan Smith link. I wish the season would start, it's quite clear Dm sorry SDM is not going to spend anything like what we hoped/want. I too would be absolutely over the moon if we got Smith, but to be honest it's going to take more then one player to turn us into a force again
-
These sorts of rumours really do make you laugh - you have to laugh otherwise you'd cry:flipa: We will not be signing Foubert or Koumas or Naismith and our overall budget for the summer will definitely be in single figure millions. As I said when the story about Foubert first came out, I wait to be proved otherwise.
-
I don't think we were ever 'serious' about signing Faubert/ As soon as I heard how much we were supposedly spending I thought aye right. We don't want to even spend a million nowadays never mind the 5 or whatever on Faubert. It's all smoke and mirrors from MB and SDM.
-
Oh well never mind there's bound to be some bosman out there on the cheap we can find instead
-
ah well just need to wait and see on this one then
-
The Bordeaux president is saying that a deal has been agreed with a club, but the club is not us.
-
50% each at the moment. I guess we're a wee bit divided about this one. I think he'll do a decent job, not a great player but he does give his all
-
bit of a shock this one. Anytime I've seen Barca he has playe reasonably well for them. A bit of a step down going back to Holland. Good luck to him though
-
Seems to be a good deal for us regarding Svensson. He never really lloked like he would be able to adapt to our game and never once looked up for an aerial 'battle'. Hopefully we will invest in another cb because although I agree with letting Sven sson go it does leave us light at the back.
-
quite appropriate really, join the rest of the fannys already there!!
-
I'll gladly eat my words if proved wrong, but are we not going slightly over the top about how good this guy is/could be? To be totally honest I don't know anything about the boy, but Jeremy Clement was a young French 'superstar' and he didn't exactly set the heather on fire here. As someone already said where is this money coming from all of a sudden? Sounds like a bit of a risk to me..................
