He could also supposedly step down and put a puppet in his place as he did a few years ago. That would also give him some time.

Magic and Fergie come first i think.
-
They will have to fight Fergie for the goal line if he drops any deeper.
-
It was Den Haag(The Hague) I don't know if Numan played for them but they done it a few times with the first supporters carrying a message banner as they entered.
-
I would say a pattern is infact forming. Begin van le Guen Rangers played good until, yes you guessed it, Fergie came back. Mendes and Davis were playing well until, yes right again, Fergie came back. The common denominator is Fergie-team deteriates.
-
He has of course had a couple of good games over the last two years,Celtic 3-0 springs to mind but your sentiment while slightly exaggerated is over the whole, near to the mark.

Magic was MOM for me. Mendes second. Davis bad FH but good second. Worst player? Miller by a mile. Done SFA apart from a few fancy dummies. One did cause the goal i will admit but apart from that he was woeful. Fleck done more in the 6 minutes he was on than Miller did in the rest of the game. Only bad finishing from Davis stopped Fleck getting an assist.

Another poor performance tonight. The saints over-ran us in midfield in the first half. To be honest Fergie looks lost. He backs into the 18 yard box without picking up a player. In one move Broadfoot went for the midfield player. The full-back overlapped and got the ball. Barry stood and watched while Broadfoot tried to get back to defend the overlapping full-back. Please Everton come and get him.

The beeb showed the banner and had a discussion about it. Pat Nevin said something like Rangers supporters have short memories of how much money DM has pumped into Rangers.

Been on another forum as i couldn't get on here and it is rumoured that Boyd went to the airport and decided he didn't want to leave so he turned back. The deal was 3.8 with add ons taking it to 4.8 if Boyd makes so many appearances and Brummy get promoted. Bite their hand off for that money.

And a frightening thought. Many a true word said in jest, comes to mind.

I was already depressed now i am glad i am going to work for the first time in my life.

Was it under smith we tried to buy him the last time?
-
Pinch of salt stuff. The Sun and Tribal football. He does fit into the Rangers model though. Dodgy legs.

I totally agree it is the state the club is in that is the important thing. Selling Murray park would not be the answer and a very short term fix. The rich Rangers supporters will not put any money into the club as long as David Murray is in charge. As for Gerssave getting 60mill from ordinary working guys who struggle to make ends meet is an impossible dream. And even if anyone can bring in 60mill he will need many million more to get the club running again. As Frankie says we are in a downward spiral and god knows where the bottom lies.
-
Gow,Velicka,Miller(jury still out) Dailly, so that is now seven in two seasons and i am sure there are more. Add to that his crap tactics then i feel the slating is justified.
-
I totally agree to a point but the fact is on this thread and other threads Boyd is being made out to be some kind of god. All depend on how much we can get for Boyd and who we bring in. Boyd and Fergie leaving is not the problem in my eyes it is Walter Smith being given the responsibility of replacing them.

Every player in the world is for sale that has always been so and always will be so. Last year we were shouting about King carlos and he only cost us a few mill. carlos left and Magic filled his boots perfectly with even offering a bit more going forward.Hutton left and whittaker came in sorry wrong example. That players leave is no great deal as all that we have are mediocre players. The trick is to have a manager who can get players for the same price who can do a better job. And that is the problem the manager of rangers hasn't a clue.

Under le Guen the Rangers midfield were playing fantastic football until. yes you guessed it, Barry Ferguson returned. This season the Rangers team were playing good football until, yes you guessed it Barry Ferguson returned. I hope Hemdani leaves now as i don't think he will ever produce a decent level for us anymore. You seem to forget he was player of the year and i don't think it was for negative football.
-
Thomson only cost 2 million.

Sorry i don't buy the" if Boyd leaves then Rangers will die a painful death." crap. In season 1999-2000 we never had a prolific scorer but still scored 94 goals in the season. It is fantastic that Boyd scores 30-40 goals but if no one else scores then at the end of the season you only have that. 40 goals. That will never win the league.Wayne Rooney, is not a prolific scorer, Ronald de Boer was not a prolific scorer, Michael mols was not a prolific scorer but i would rather have those three players in the team, than Chris Boyd. Yes but we cannot afford players like Mols anymore i hear you say but the fact is MM only ever played for teams like Utrecht and FC Twente he was released by Ajax as a youth. I hope Boyd doesn't leave for the prices mentioned and he has improved his overall game but Chris Boyd is never going to be a top team player.
-
I liked Hemdani in the defence and i believe given the learning time he would have been outstanding

Do any of the Barry lovers actually watch what he does in a game or are they mesmerised by the few minutes he actually does show a bit of class. He doesn't put any pressure on the opposing midfielders he jogs back to defend rather than sprint He turns and he turns and he turns until there are ten players behind the ball and they have had time to build the great wall of China. Oh yeh then he turns again. Taylor and MF are right, It is time for him to go.

That is exactly the reason i didn't suspect anything. I even read a post from one of the guys stating we will find out at 12.30 tomorrow, but thought they had got it wrong. No probs Frankie i got the Xmas decorations down instead.

Walter Smith: I may not be able to stop Madjid Bougherra leaving
pete replied to johnnyk's topic in Rangers Chat
I feel on the football front Gow was hard done too at Rangers. I don't know what happened but Walter certainly seemed to shut him out. As for the money part i don't think we know the contents of his contract to make a decission who is wrong. Off subject i got shagged by vodaphone as well. When i was in Scotland on Holiday i went to the vodaphone shop and explained i was on holiday for two weeks and wanted a telephone card to cover my holiday. The friendly guy put a 5 pound card into my phone. On the second week i wanted to use the 5 pound up but couldn't phone out. He had sold me a card that was valid for only five days. Just before xmas 2008 a woman for Vodaphone(Netherlands) phoned me up with a special offer of a telephone + x amount of bell minutes. You can imagine the pleasure i had explaining i would rather jump in front of a train than have anything to do wiyh vodaphone.- 30 replies
