How about singing. When you walk through a storm hold your head up high And don't be afraid of the dark. At the end of a storm is a golden sky And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind, Walk on through the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart And you'll never walk alone, You'll never, ever walk alone. And then break into: Hello, Hello, You'll never walk alone. Hello Hello, You'll never walk alone. We'll follow Rangers anywhere No surrender till we die The Gers will never walk alone. or how about to Hello Hello. Walk on, Walk on! you'll never walk alone Walk on, Walk on! you'll never walk alone Walk on through wind the rain, Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown. you will never walk alone

I said i want rid of him and i still do,but i have also always said we need a replacement for him. Someone who can control a game. It looks like we may have found that person in Mendes so in my opinion i have been proved right. Barry Ferguson cannot control the game and is not as good as he is made out to be. I will admit though it may be interesting to see how he plays with Mendes and Davis before we punt him. Maybe he will be able to slot in at left-half.
-
Well I'll disagree with your disagreement of my disagreement. It wasn't hindsight Craig it has been obvious for a few years now that our midfield was just not good enough. We were praying on here that we would sign a midfielder. Ferguson and Davis may have been the only two missing from the team but if i take the engine out of my car then it won't move. Trying to replace it with a moped engine won't help either. They say that one person can't make a team but as with Mendes one strong link can fix a chain.

I just feel some people are busier hating Celtic than they are supporting rangers. And yes i do love beating them on the park. I just don't understand why, some people hate them so much. At the end of the day life would be a lot more boring without them. I only know the Famine bit of the song and that is a bit of banter in my eyes. If in the other parts of the song it goes on about woman being raped then even for me i feel it does become more than a wind up. Living in Holland has obviously tamed me down as i am not in the same mix as you guy's and i would probably be more bitter if i still lived in Glasgow. Nobody gives a shit about religion here except maybe a few older people. And to be honest i like it that way.
-
Personally i would rather our supporters sing songs of support for our own players but in between the Celtic hating\wind up songs some supporters have time to call our players lazy bar-stewards,pricks, or other such motivating chants. To be honest i don't care about Celtic off the football field,I am a Rangers supporter not a Celtic hater.

I disagree we should have had the players to beat Kaunus. It has been obvious for years we didn't have a midfield. Without fergie it was always going to be walking a tight-rope. Even two amateur German teams could dominate us for large periods of the game. There are no easy games any more. Luxembourg proved that against the Swiss. If you do not give your opponents the respect they deserve, then they can jump up and bite you in the bum.

Is it a bit strange to wonder why we don't just sing songs of support for Rangers?
-
Why on earth can supporters not mix with each other? We should not be talking like that is crazy it should be a norm. When i started supporting Rangers you could walk round the whole terrace and always stood behind the goal rangers were shooting into. Both sets of supporters were mixed through each other.at the Broomloan end, That is the way it should be. The fact that it can't be like that is the crazy thing.
-
It is becoming more and more obvious we need to sell our best players to stop the debt rocketing. The decision not to strengthen the sqaud before the Kaunus game was a ludicrous decision. What did we save on Davis? 500.000? Saving a small amount to lose 10million is beyond belief.

i guess we will need to extend the playing area then.
-
Yes you probably are missing something. Ironic! No, it is because it is while we are debating these kinds of topics that you seem to think that everyone should think like you. If anyone makes a valid point against your argument then you throw up the very smoke and mirrors that David Murray is said to have. Debating is not about bullying people into submission it is about putting your side of the argument across and answering other peoples points. You don't seem to have the ability to answer when the going gets tough. That is just my opinion of course. Anyway if you want to argue further do it privately as this is not stuff for the main boards.

Govan police are looking into the theft of 3 Mercedes sports in the Govan area.

Okay you used immaturity i used childishness what is one word between friends. Sorry mate you are the one who has been making aggressive posts on here. If you are going to throw stones expect to get hit with one. As i said this forum is mostly filled with people who prefer to talk about Rangers, I really hope that you keep giving your meaning but cut out attacking people who disagree with you. We all love a good debate without getting personal.

Let People say what they want, or if you want, freedom of speech. Does that mean people should be allowed to spew out hatred? Should radical Muslims be allowed to stand on Hyde park corner and recruit for their campaign of hatred, including the murder of British soldiers, innocent people and even children? Should Catholic and protestant militants be able to shout their hatred on every street corner? Personally i hope it never happens. Every person is open to freedom of speech as long as it fits within an ethical norm acceptable to the majority. Not everyone's ethical boundaries will be at the same level that is why we elect governing bodies to fix these boundaries. If you want to change the boundaries then get yourself onto the political platform that can change things. Typing out F E N I A N three times because Barry showed you how to beat the filter is more childish than our Forum's decision to fall into line with the Rangers football clubs directive not to use that word. Most fans on here support Rangers football club and want to do what is best for the club. In this present climate that is to refrain from using certain words. If you have any respect for the club then you will follow that directive. You can only change things by putting yourself in a place where decisions are made, not as an invisible person behind a keyboard.

Not the most gifted of players, but his 1000% effort in every game makes you pray the wee guy starts hitting the net regularly, to keep his place in the team. You just can't help loving the wee barra.

And it was the tims that were sleeping with the huns during the war. They were the huns in the 50's and 60's and are still the real huns today.
-
I will say that i don't think hitting the first man with a corner is just a Rangers thing. Everyone seems to have problems with it these days. I posted the same thing during the EC. Personally i think the modern ball is made more for shooting than crossing. They are made to swerve more in the air and keep a lower trajectory. Crosses used to float into the box where they are now played in at pace.

Excellent analysis BD. I didn't see any mention of TV monies from the SPL\Setanta are they hidden in there or did i look over the top of them?
-
Is Setanta piped in to the The southern general?

I was being sarcastic Barry, sorry. That is why i had the wink. I never look at the time to be honest. Unless the wife says i am going to bed at 10pm if you want sex. Then i watch every second from 9pm. The only thing is that the last time the date was 2002.

As i said in my post Bluedell i do agree with the part of the ulster connection that you talk about. Unfortunately i would say most of the drunken yobs who run around draped in a red hand flag know anything of that history. Being a good protestant to them is how loud they can shout *** and sing the Billy boys. That unfortunately is also a part of our history and that is the part of the history that i and many other Rangers supporters will be glad to see the back of. I won't put words in his mouth but i am sure that is what shroomz was meaning as well.
-
While i do accept the Ulster tint to our history i doubt if it would ever get a mention if our neighbours from the dark side were not so pro-eire. Probably if the tims claimed to be Croatian we would be looking for ways to look for a Serbian link and flying Serbian flags . Over the last few decades the word Ulster has always been linked with Feed the Pigeons and up to the knees in ****** blood, so it is not totally surprising a younger person would put 2+2 together and get sectarian. I will give the Ulster day the benefit of the doubt but to be honest it does stink of one-upmanship against the tims.
-
No it is a sectarian, Racial thing. He is a baptist and hates Catholics. Well at least Graham Spiers will say that.

Sep 23 2008 CROCKED Rangers defender Steven Whittaker faces surgery to cure the knee injury which has blighted his Ibrox career this season. The 24-year-old has been out of action for Rangers since the start of the season, and has failed to respod to treatment at Murray Park. And now the former Hibs star faces going under the knife in a bid to get his season back on track. "It may be that he needs an operation, we are not quite certain," said Walter Smith. "It would be a minor one but obviously it rules him out for the next few matches."
