Brellier's Rangers link dismissed Former Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier Julien Brellier had impressed while with Hearts Julien Brellier's agent has dismissed talk of the former Hearts midfielder joining Rangers. The 25-year-old had been quoted as saying that his agent was in talks with Rangers, but it now looks unlikely that the Frenchman will remain in Scotland. Once the season starts the price for unwanted players will suddenly drop. The name of the game is picking the right moment to buy and sell. At the end of july teams will start to offload unwanted players much cheaper.

Making the best offer at this moment are Shakhtar Donetsk who are offering him the best deal, but Koevermans will probably choose less money to stay in one of the more popular leagues. Feynoord are tracking him but have little money to spend. He may be our last minute buy but i suspect Feynoord will also make an offer at the last moment.

I posted a while back that Ajax had given their win bonus to excelsior to beat AZ on the last day of the season. He is a hard working midfielder who likes to make runs forward. I will be honest i can't really remember seeing him doing much for PSV but he was really good at Herenveen. He was so good Guus Hiddink bought him. I rated him him with Herenveen but i don't really know what went wrong at PSV. He was injured for most of his first season which let Ibrahim Afellay break through from the youth, he has been pure class and will become a top player. If you also bring Cocu, FanFan, Mendez and Culina(to a lesser degree) into the equation then it was always going to be difficult for him. I really think he could do a job for us if he can get his Herenveen form back. Rangers are seemingly still trying to get him and negotiations are ongoing but the price PSV are looking for(3mill euro's) is the big stumbling block at the moment. An august 29 signing then!! Or will Celtic come in with a 4mill offer.
