Agree with that if Killie get 2 mill for Naismith they won't give a shit if he plays or not. Rangers really must start making realistic bids though, yes you start with a low bid but it does have to be realistic and not laughable. We seem to think because we fucked Dundee in their hour of need we can do it to everyone.

According to Koeverman's Agent, Raangers have lost all interest in him. The trouble is all teams are bumping up the prices as soon as anyone show's an interest in anyone. 3 million euro's for Beasley is ridiculous for a player PSV will be glad to see the back of. If we wait until august we will get him for next to nothing. If Celtic would have waited until august they would have got Scott Brown for the 3mill we were offering but they decided he was worth paying the extra for to secure a deal now If you take McCulloch from Wigan, if we buy him now we will have to pay Wigan's price, but if we wait until august 29, Wigan will be wanting rid of him to free up money for themselves and he will cost the half of what they are asking now. I believe he will be coming to us, but Rangers are waiting for the day that Wigan decide they need to sell him and drop the price instead of keeping an unhappy player.

I don't rate him Gribz and PSV have now stuck a 3 mill euro price on his head. If he is our top signing then they can better give the tims the trophy now and put us out our misery. If i was a betting man i would put on a bet he will not play more than 20 games a season.

Posted 09/06/07 11:24 EmailPrintSave Celtic manager Gordon Strachan believes the club need to be playing regularly outside Scottish borders to eliminate sectarianism. Both Celtic and Rangers have shown a strong interest in joining the English leagues, and Strachan believes it would be a beneficial move on many levels. The 50-year-old suggests a European league is more likely to materialise, given the vehement objection of Barclays Premiership clubs to the Old Firm being allowed to join their ranks. But Strachan told The Times: "If we could get into a British league, I don't just think it would help us financially, it would also help this West of Scotland thing we have to live with. "I often think how exciting it would be to have Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea coming to Parkhead. "Sometimes you hear our people singing the IRA stuff, but I think all that would go if we were in a bigger league. "It would enlarge the scene, provide more breathing space and people would get on with their lives. "People from the outside looking in would no longer say to some Old Firm fans, 'Are you guys going to grow up ... are youse all mad?"' Strachan suggests as many as 50 leading clubs could be involved if the long-mooted European league does become a reality. He added: "It will happen and the sponsors would flock to it. I really think it's going to happen." This subject is easy pickings to increase popularity but i hope the ginger smurf gets people to listen to him. Rangers and Celtic are both fighting below their weight. We need to have better opposition coming to Ibrox.

No please god NO!!!!!! Couldn't hack it in the super soft no tackle league in Holland, what chance is he going to have when there are tackles flying in from everywhere. I can't see him being hard enough to cope with Scottish football. I hope he proves me wrong.

Due to AZ bringing in new attacker's Koeverman is desperate to leave AZ. Unfortunately his agent said Rangers have dropped all interest in him and Stuttgart look like the favourites to open discussions for him.

Totally agree McUlloch[ just doesn't excite me at all. I would rather pay a borderline fee for a young player that can bring in a profit rather than pay millions for a dying rose. For example we wouldn't pay 6 mill euro's for Huntelaar. He is now expected to bring in 20mill. We need a manager\decision maker that is willing to take these risks not a comedian that offers peanuts

He was absolute world class with Feynoord but he seemed to lose all confidence with Liverpool making blunder after blunder. If he could produce his Feynoord form he would be a brilliant asset.

Lazy bar steward he has not ended up in the reserves with every club he has been at for nothing. One of people who talk a nice game but never produce. Just like a wife beater he promises he will get better but once the spotlight is off him he will fall into the old patron. Sorry no Mido for me!!!!

bye-bye. :uzi:

I am not starting a rumour(shit maybe i am:devil: ) AZ are looking for a replacement for him as he is expected to leave to play abroad. Rangers are the only name i have heard linked with him until now.

They never played in the flesh, They wore strips like everyone else.

Our last Motherwell keeper didn't do too bad. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/HallOfFame/0,,5~52724,00.html Only thing was i remember him hanging on the crossbar thinking the ball was going over when it was lying in the back of the net. I believe it was a cup final against Aberdeen at Hampden. One for the Rangers Blooper show.

Brilliant appointment, i hope he keeps on his pundit role though otherwise we will probably get another blabbering tim ripping our club apart. I would still have loved to see him at Ibrox in a managerial role though.
-
I agree if i walk around the sports shops here it is almost only Celtic and the big English clubs on show. You often see Dutch guy's wearing tim tops but i have only ever seen one guy with our strip on.

Roman Abramovich has reportedly told Chelsea he will no longer spend his billions on the club. The Russian owner has, according to The Sun, decided that he no longer wants to be a key decision maker and believes the club should operate as a proper business - meaning they will have to generate their own transfer budget like most other clubs. That throws into doubt the future of stars Frank Lampard and John Terry who are both negotiating new deals. Abramovich, who revealed his plans at a meeting last Monday, has imposed a wage cap and with both England internationals unwilling to settle for less than they feel they are worth, Chelsea may decide to cash in this summer as both players have two years left on their current contracts. The club are hoping to bring in three new players in the summer, but won't splash the cash on transfer fees as they have in the past. Steve Sidwell has already joined on a free transfer from Reading with Claudio Pizarro of Bayern Munich set to do likewise, while Brazilian defender Alex will join from PSV in July for a fee of one dollar. Chelsea were 180mil in the red, if Roman cuts the cash there will be big problems at the Bridge.

After a friendly with an amateur club on Saturday three thugs attacked him as he walked across the car park to his car. They left him almost blind and his nose and eye sockets were broken in a number of places. Luckily it is thought once all the swelling has gone down he will regain full sight. Are we coming to an age that footballers need to walk with bodyguards? A horrible thought for what is only really a game.

Always as in ten years ago Jon. Fowler has hardly kicked a ball in anger in three years. We need speed up front not another cart-horse. It will be a bit like looking in to the coffin at a cremation, i don't do it, i prefer to remember the people as a living person and not a corpse.

Not really the right attitude for a top Fifa job. I doubt he will last very long.

By Tom Adams - Created on 28 May 2007 Paul Gascoigne's agent has confirmed that the former England hero has undergone emergency surgery for a perforated stomach ulcer. The player who captured the country's imagination in the 1990 World Cup was reportedly taken ill whilst celebrating his 40th birthday in Gateshead. Gascoigne was taken to Newcastle General Hospital before being transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary for surgery. The former Tottenham and Rangers star's agent Jane Morgan has confirmed he is recuperating well after suffering from severe stomach pains. "He underwent emergency surgery for a perforated stomach ulcer and will remain in hospital for a few days," read the statement. "He's recovering well from the surgery." Get well soon mate!!

That's for sure he used to have shares in Rangers.

I hope we don't go anywhere near Fowler and Demarcus Beasley makes me cringe as well. If these are the signings we are going for then i feel another heavy season coming on. Beasley couldn't cut it in Holland where you get time on the ball, what chance has he got with a size ten stuck up his arse.

It has now come out that the Ajax players promised to pass on all bonus payments to the teams(players) playing against AZ in the last few games of the season to help them become champions. If they beat AZ as Excelsior did in the last game of the season they recieved the Ajax player's win bonus The Dutch FA has taken the line that every team gets bonuses and that the Ajax players done no harm. I personally think it is trying to fix results and should be illegal. Any views?
