Agree totally Mike we have in fact done nothing to change the structure of the team. We have the same formation as last year. As i see it at this moment it is imperative that Fergie forgets about picking the ball up from Hemdani's feet and starts getting forward. Buffel coming good, Yeh what can i say about that?? Dream dream dream!!!

I wouldn't back them Ian. They have signed big names but all too late and too old. PSV will come in with a new crop of players good enough to win the league. They have also signed a new striker today. One Mr Michael Mols. Two Rangers legends but Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Jones, Fraser, Pike come to mind.

He has and it is the midfield role Smith wants him to play with the option of covering for Hutton. Is he the answer to our lack of imagination in the midfield? I doubt it and i still think we could rue the decision to let Scott Brown go to the darkside.

I do he is allowed to let the ball go at least a foot over the line before it counts. Seriously McGregor is No1 until he gets injured. I wonder who is now No,2. Would Smith have come to be third choice?

It is a a difficult one for Rangers really. Is he a 2 mill player that can bring in a return or is he a 2 mill player who will sit on the bench and be sold on for 300.000 after 2 years. Is he a Kenny Dalgliesh or a Kenny miller. I think 2 mill is maybe taking a chance for an unknown quantity but then Sebo cost 1.8 mill so maybe Naismith is worth 2 mill.

Yes but if you have to pay 2 mill there may be other players in that price class who appeal more than Naismith. Rangers thought he was a 1 mill player who was possibly our best bet in that price range.

I remember Mark Hatley playing for AC Milan and he looked like he couldn't play amateur football let alone professional and he became one of our hero's. Confidence is a huge part of playing any sport or doing any job. If Sebo can gain confidence then who knows, he might start knocking them in. Personally i think he is the same as Nacho, both totally lack composure but can you learn that, i doubt it. I would love him to do well though.

I seem to get the impression that Rangers are willing to take weeks to get the cheapest price possible while all we are doing is giving other teams the knowledge of how high to go with the first offer. Selling clubs are so pissed off by us they may even sell off cheaper than first wanted to get one over on us.

I would agree with that Cal and also with Gribz that he is not the man we need. we need a good creative midfielder who can create chances and score. smith is a hard worker and a battler but he lacks in the creative field and as far as i remember he is not that prolific a scorer.

He was virtually unknown until the u21 EK. Even the tv pundits didn't know much about him. In the games i saw in the EK he did fk all, until he put the ball in the net.
