I am not his biggest supporter but what is a million Quid these day's. He does have talent i just hope he plays in enough games to impress.
-
4.3 mill i guess the season tickets are not all sold then and a few new rumours are needed. Sorry my confidence in these kind of signings are at a low ebb.
-
We will go for a few of the last minute cast-off's. Last year we had a few up for sale and ended up paying them off. Other clubs who are looking for millions now will be just happy to get rid of them in August. Unfortunately that means we are fishing for cast-off's again and not going for the most wanted players.

I heard they might make a move for Sebo.:fish:

Saturday 7.45 Brit time 8.45 Euro time Come on the sons of orange. I'm allowed to say that.

Funny enough the wife and i were talking to someone who just had an argument with their wife. I said to the wife" we hardly ever have an argument do we?' How can we, she replied We never talk, you are always sitting at the computer. I hate to admit a woman being right.
-
Just like having a pint with you then.
-
They would need to change the name of the cup for me no way would i go to see a game in the Celtic cup.
-
I meant he gives everyone the blame except himself and tries to chase all over the park thinking he has to do everybody else's work, not that he said no midfielders.
-
Yes, true Craig and as i said the Dutch could have played all night and not scored. The guy that went off looked less injured than Taylor to be honest, as he was hardly limping, i couldn't believe he went off. All in all i think England should have won in the 90 mins but over the whole a penalty shoot out was about right and that is always a lottery. The winner won.
-
We ruined Arveladze by playing him out on the wing, but i rate Shota far higher than Buffel. I wish we had given Shota a good chance. Big Eck fckd up big time with him. With Buffel it is so frustrating you know he has the skill but he just does not seem to get in where it hurts. I would say give him his last chance but if he fails by xmas then put him in the january sales. If a good offer comes in for him then we should rub our hands and grab it.
-
Romanov or whatever you call him, doesn't let the half of his own team turn up do you think he cares if other supporters turn up.
-
Agreed but they want them in the positions that they don't hold themselves. Every player thinks it is not their fault but another is to blame. Ask Barry Ferguson! I rest my case.
-
Yep it was exiting stuff to the end but to be honest the game itself was crap. It was only the last few minutes and the penalty shoot-out that were interesting. Even the extra time was played in England's half as they only had 10 men but the Dutch could have played 30 hours extra time and not scored.
-
So will the Dutch supporters!!!! They are not welcoming the next batch of players. They were glad to get rid of the Davids Seedorf ++++ time
-
By the way Rigters did F-all the whole game until he scored in the 89 min. It was a beauty of a goal but i was not impressed with him to be honest. His constant refusal to run into wide positions meant the Dutch had to throw in high balls from the second line. Celtic can have him for me.

Hearts increase prices for fans of Hibs and the Old Firm
pete replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Hibernian fans could boycott their opening day fixture against Hearts at Tynecastle in a row over ticket prices. Hearts have imposed a 30% rise in areas of the away section for games against Hibs, Celtic and Rangers. Mike Riley, chairman of the southern branch of the Hibs Supporters' Club, said he backed an organised protest. "Nobody wants to boycott a game, especially at Tynecastle where we like to beat the Hearts, but I don't think we've got any choice," he said. Interview: Hibs Supporters Club Chairman Mike Riley Riley told BBC Scotland: "I'm in favour of a boycott, without a doubt whatsoever and I would think that mostly everybody would be the same." Adult followers of Celtic, Rangers and Hibs will pay a top price of £33 to watch their team play at Tynecastle in the 2007-08 campaign, a rise of £8 on the prices they were charged for the best seats in the Roseburn Stand last season. The cheapest priced tickets are £27, an increase of £7 on last season. I'll be saying to all the branches and my members as well that we should seriously consider boycotting the game Hibs Supporters' Club chairman Mike Riley Since Scottish Premier League rules state that clubs cannot charge visiting fans higher admission prices than those applied to their own supporters, Hearts fans will pay the same prices in comparable parts of the stadium Visiting supporters of other Clydesdale Bank Premier League clubs will pay £22 and £17 for games at Tynecastle. And Riley said Hibs supporters clubs are planning to call a meeting later this week to discuss what action to take. He said: "If we don't stop at the £33 now where will it be next season? "We've got to take a stance somewhere. "I'll be saying to all the branches and my members as well that we should seriously consider boycotting the game." Hearts, who have already angered the Old Firm by reducing the size of their ticket allocation for SPL matches at Tynecastle, claim the new prices are a fair reflection of the commercial value of what they brand as Category A matches. They are also within their rights to impose the increases under SPL regulations which leave ticket prices to the discretion of the home clubs. To fleece visiting supporters in this manner is just outrageous Secretary of the Rangers Supporters' Association John McMillan But John McMillan, secretary of the Rangers Supporters' Association, told the Scotsman: "It is a disgraceful increase by Hearts. "To fleece visiting supporters in this manner is just outrageous. "You have to ask yourself if £33 is value for money in the SPL and most people would say it is certainly not." However, McMillan said despite the ticket increases Rangers fans were unlikely to boycott games at Tynecastle. "The diehards want to be at every match their team plays, so they will be there." Peter Rafferty, president of the Affiliation of Celtic Supporters' Clubs, also believed the prices would not result in fewer Celtic fans going to the games. He said: "It is a substantial hike by Hearts and it is a lot of money for many supporters, but I don't doubt the Celtic section of the ground at Tynecastle will be full." Rangers and Celtic saying we won't boycott these games give Hearts an open hand. -
Newcastle striker Obafemi Martins has revealed how he feared for his life after he and a friend were ambushed by masked gunmen in the Nigerian capital of Lagos. The pair were attacked on Monday night when a gang opened fire on Martins' car at a petrol station and although the star escaped unscathed, his friend was left wounded. Martins, in Italy recovering from the ordeal, now fears for his safety in his homeland and hinted he could put his international career on the back burner for the time being. He told the Sun: "I didn't know their mission but they looked scary and mean. My nerves were completely dead when I saw the guns. "If you are attacked by armed robbers, they only threaten you and take whatever they want but these guys were only after my life. "How I managed to escape is still shocking and unbelievable. "Maybe someone up there loves me more than I could imagine because only he could explain what happened. "But my mother is scared they could come back again. "She almost passed out when she saw the car. She just kept asking who wants me dead. "I don't feel safe in Lagos any more and don't think I want to return so fast. "I was born in Lagos, I am a Lagosian. But when I don't feel safe in my hometown then something must be wrong. "I am not running away from armed robbers but people who want to take the life of Obafemi Martins. "It's a great thing to play for your country, put smiles on the faces of people and also feel safe among your family and fans. "But when the situation gets out of hand, I don't think coming home is something I can even contemplate."

Netherlands- England U21 A case of a crap game which Engerland thought they had won but the Dutch scored in the 89th minute with a goal that verged on dangerous play. A super overhead kick from Celtic target Maceo Rigters. Ruud Gullit stated after the game if it was a Spanish or Italian team the defenders would have been rolling around on the ground holding their heads to get the decision but the English are too proud or naive to do that.(discussion?) It amounted in a fantastic penalty shoot-out which also caused a spectacle. After all the other players had taken a penalty Taylor of England said he wouldn't take one as he was injured. This upset Foppe de Haan the Dutch coach as Taylor had finished the game. De Haan marched onto the field to tell the ref that Taylor had not taken a penalty. After a heavy discussion Taylor slotted the penalty in the corner of the goal. With the English shooting first the Dutch managed to hold their nerves and go on to win 13-12. They will meet Serbia in the final.

for the cynical among us - no quality signings this summer?
pete replied to bmck's topic in Rangers Chat
I think the Feynoord supporters did one good protest and that was the section that holds the so called hard supporters stayed outside for the first 15 mins and then came in with the first few carrying banners of protest. They then went on to support there team as normal. What got rid of the chairman were death threats and threats to his family and that is a road i hope we don't go down -
I realised you were talking about Lovenkrands but also realised i could make it too and maybe meet up with Pete. I forgot to thank you for the tip.

Hearts increase prices for fans of Hibs and the Old Firm
pete replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Agree with that. These teams should get money back for the pigsty conditions we have had to endure over the last 30 years. -
MARTIN McMILLAN June 20 2007 Hearts last night defended a 30% rise in ticket prices that will be imposed on supporters of the Old Firm and Hibernian at Tynecastle next season. Fans of Celtic, Rangers and Hibs will have to part with £33 to watch their team in the centre of the upper section of the Roseburn Stand, a jump of £8 from the last campaign. Supporters in the other areas of the stand will be charged £27, an increase of £7 on last season, for Category A' matches. Opposing fans outside the Old Firm and Hibs will pay between £17 and £22 for Category B' games in the Roseburn Stand. advertisement Hibs fans have reacted with disbelief to the price increase, claiming Vladimir Romanov, the Hearts owner, is merely lining his pockets. But the club have defended the price hike in light of the planned redevelopment of the Tynecastle main stand in the coming campaign. "We reviewed the pricing of match-day tickets at some length prior to any increases," said a Hearts spokesman. "It's really all about supply and demand and we have to be commercially aware. Demand for tickets for Hearts versus Hibs at Tynecastle outstrips supply." Hibs travel to Tynecastle on the opening day of the season and Dave Kowalski, a spokesman for fans website Hibs.net, said yesterday: "Thirty-three pounds is an outrageous price. I've not heard about an organised Hibs boycott, but if there was one, Hearts would deserve to lose money." Meanwhile, FC Thun are seeking to secure a deal with Hearts to allow the Finnish striker, Juho Makela, to return to Switzerland. The 23-year-old was loaned to Thun in February and is unsure of his Tynecastle future, despite being contracted until June 2009. Reto Gertschen, the Thun general manager said: "The return of Juho Makela is an option for us. I spoke to him and he showed an interest to play for us again." Hearts are also rumoured to be set to return Chile again with a move for international winger Jose Luis Cabion. 33 quid for a ticket that is daylight robbery and should be looked into by instances controlling price rices and monopolies.

http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.1480841.0.0.php Don't worry Cammy big DJ says we have not to panic signings will come!!! Come to think of it does he not write that at every window. If this is our top signings then it is time for Murray to go. If he said at the beginning we have no money there will only be Bosman's then it might be acceptable but to live on promises is an insult to every Rangers supporter. This is not once but since the last window of Eck he has been promising the moon and we get a fkg candle.

Brellier's Rangers link dismissed Former Hearts midfielder Julien Brellier Julien Brellier had impressed while with Hearts Julien Brellier's agent has dismissed talk of the former Hearts midfielder joining Rangers. The 25-year-old had been quoted as saying that his agent was in talks with Rangers, but it now looks unlikely that the Frenchman will remain in Scotland. But Maurizio de Giorgis told BBC Sport: "Julien is still on holiday, so there is no news on where he might be going. "But, to be honest, I never actually had any contact with Rangers anyway. It was just all rumours." Brellier, who arrived in 2005 after leaving Inter Milan, rejected the offer of a new contract at Tynecastle. And he has since been critical of the regime at Hearts under Vladimir Romanov. Brellier impressed during his time in Edinburgh, leading to suggestions that other Scottish Premier League clubs could be interested. But De Giorgis added: "With every day that passes, there is less and less chance of him staying in Scotland." Here today, gone tomorrow.
