Buffel wants to prove himself at Rangers Thomos Buffel has ended all speculation over a possible transfer to AZ. The Belgian midfielder wants to stay at Rangers and fight for his place. Az had already stated they had no interest in him and Buffel also said the story was a fable "i want to stay at Rangers and prove myself in the months to come and hope i can get into the pictue again for the Belgian team. They have never told me why i have not been called up recently." "I did indeed have problems with PLG and that resulted in me being dropped to the bank.We couldn't walk through the same door together. Dropping Barry Ferguson put the final noose around his neck i think."

Funny Brown was saying all along he wanted to come to Ranger. Now after all the trouble he has a preference for the tims. Frightened of dressing room fueds possibly.

I would go as far as to say i wouldn't mind the SFA keeping him i am not really that happy he is returning. I feel it is a step backwards. I would rather give McCall and Coisty the Job. He will come though one way or another and if McCall and Coisty do come then i don't see why he cannot do the two jobs until the qualifiers are over.

We have been discussing for months and possibly the last 2 years that BF isn't doing what he should be doing, as in not getting forward. We were told that he was a poor wee injured soldier and it was great he was playing at all. Barry may not have a say on who comes or goes but he was in a position to sabotage the managers tactics I heard as a joke that Strachan was interested in him but that would be a big chance if he can fuck up our dressing room at the team he supposedly loves,he would really run a mock over there.

If the guy is going to do a job for us then i have no problem that he came from the piggery. I hope they give him a good wash though.

Is that the same sort of reasoning as: 30% of all car accidents are caused by drunk drivers. That means 70% are caused by sober people. So lets all get sloshed before driving. Surely playing to the best of your ability must come in there somewhere. If you are drinking excessively then you are not playing to the to best of your ability as we saw with Fernando Ricksen in the season he was off the drink

Sorry but i think it is a sad day when we are being sorry Marvin Andrews left the club. He possibly was a reasonable defender but he was hopeless when he got the ball. Surely Rangers should have a better class of player than him.

Do you mean SPL or from Scottish teams. Novo never came from an SPL team. Did Goram? I thought he came from down south. Canniggia- Dundee? Not sure of the Question you are asking, Gribz

Agree again Buster, i have been supporting Rangers for 40 plus years and i can honestly say this is the biggest tragedy that i have witnessed(football wise) The day a player can undermine a manager and get away with it is a sad day. The great Bill Struth must be spinning in his grave.

They obviously had the Quality within Scotland Craig but what could we have done in Europe if these players had stuck to the same practices and diets as the teams on the continent. We will never know.

Rumours going round in the Dutch media that the Jos© Mourinho factor has worn off and Guus Hiddink is ready to step in and take over at Chelsea. Roman Abramovich and Hiddink know each other from the Russsian team.(Roman pays his wages it is said) Mourinho's Porto were better revelation has probably signed his fate.

Agreed if there is unrest in the dressing room then it affects all aspects of the game. We did have weaknesses on the field but we saw when we did fight together we really were'nt that bad a team

Thanks i see it now i read over it about five times and never noticed.

Sorry can someone explain.

Malky I agree with that mate and i will add, top footballers are athletes these days and have to eat and drink healthy if they wan't to perform at top level. Yes everyone can have a few pints but getting drunk regularly must affect you on the pitch.

If that were his only problems he would still be in a job today with the chance in january to rectify those problems. His problems were in the dressing room. That is where he lost out. Murray chose the short term remedy again.
-
It is not a new problem really when you think through the years, you had: Goram turning up for a new year OF game pissed out his head and when Theo Snelders shat it to play they had to stick Goram in the Sauna to sober him up. Was it Robertson that they called the panelbeater because he trashed a car kicking it while drunk. Drunken Duncan. Gazza. Fernando Ricksen. I don't think other teams are clean and cuddly though we just seem to hit the the headlines.

You forgot to mention Fergie's three years of of producing little on the park. He was doing all his work in the dressing room i suppose.

The central midfield position is the motor of any team if someone is in there pulling on a handbreak or doing things to stop the motor running smoothly then the only thing you can do is put in a new motor. Unfortunatly le Guen saw too late what was going on or at least was too late in trying to soort it. The motor was more important than the car in this case. This didn't start when le Guen walked in. Eck had the same problem, as did Advocaat hopefully Walter and Ally now know enough to watch their backs.

The thing is a manager cannot change things on the park. Barry F could. I and many others on here were saying long before this happened Barry F was not pulling his weight or more to the point he was picking the ball up and holding it. I didn't dare to even think that he may be doing it meaningly to upset and cause problems but this has now become clear to me. Le Guens mistakes were maybe tactics and signing the wrong playersbut the biggest one was not being brave enough to get rid of Fergie at an early stage.

It makes you feel great Jon, my daughter was the Mascot at our local Amateur team playing FC Twente. She walked out onto the pitch hand in hand with one Michael Mols who played for Twente at that time. I got a Video but no pictures as there were no Digi-camera's at that time. Make sure you get both. Enjoy.

This latest failure, what's the players' part in it all?
pete replied to ascender's topic in Rangers Chat
He also has the option of selling Fergie. On the radio it said Aston Villa were ready to pay 4 mill for him. Bring in Thomson, Brown and Hartley and you have three for one and maybe even hold a few bob over for say Gow who would cost 100.000. -
Unfortunatley i feel we are now stuck with the mediocrity of Barry Ferguson running our midfield for years to come so i feel we are going to have to hope that The tims run out of money or at least nosedive. One thing is that Smith has seen that scotland played better with Fletcher running the midfield so maybe he will go for Fletcher.
-
I agree with Letizi leaving but it may mean we have to pay money for a new keeper as i don't think we have many waiting to come through. Maybe why we are interested in the Hibs kid.

In Ally McCoist Sebo could not have a better teacher on how to score goals so i would say give him until the end of the season anyway. I would say we should give all the newly bought players a chance under a new manager until he has assesed them properly. Remember Larsson was dropped to the Feynoord second team when the tims bought him and he played like a tit in the beginning for them.
