tbh, I don't think even telling folk that they're hurting the club will make any difference. There are thousands of fans who will continue to 'defiantly' sing the song believing it's their right and damn anyone who opposes them. I know plenty of folk with this mentality and reasoning with them is impossible. I remember one guy I know who said he'd kick the shit out of anyone who told him not to sing it.

Oh for christ's sake - have you noticed a similarity between Kanu and Edu's name yet? NO ONE was being booed. Except Rijkaard when he came on.
-
The Clement saga dragged on forever and this one is doing the same. We either seem to sign players quickly or it ends up a 5 month soap opera.
-
I am in favour of it being binned but not strictly for the good of the club; I just loathe the song and feel tunes of sectarian hate are not what we should be about. However, this forum numbers less than 200 so unless you go onto Follow Follow and make the same post (Wonder how long before you got banned...), such an appeal isn't going to get worthy and substantial exposure.

I think the 2-1 score was over the whole game. And Huntelaar scored the first.
-
Ummm, no. The Arsenal support were saying his name as they always used to. 'Kanuuuu' etc.
-
That right winger a new signing? But aye, I agree, looks like the team for that match - I go with that. The only possible arberation is Novo partnering Prso and Buffel going on the left with all 3 interchanging throughout. Not certain that Adam will start.
-
We'll be missing 3 of our first team stars against Motherwell unfortunately. Burke and Ferguson through injury, and Boyd through suspension. Not an ideal way to start the new campaign but I'm sure we're more than capable of getting a win regardless.
-
And the fact Inter draw 90% of their matches as well means they will drop further points.
-
All I said was I like Arsenal's new stadium...
-
'yous'? That post suggests you're not a Rangers fan. I must be completely misreading it. The rest of the post makes no sense.
-
Better than Rangers can manage
-
True and false. They don't *have* to pay what clubs hold them to. But they choose to. You can't really blame Chelsea in a way - it means they don't lose out on players they want. If Rangers had the same attitude we'd have signed Elmander etc.
-
Still, you got a flamin' bargain in Sheva. imho he's worth a LOT more than £30M. Total steal.
-
Which is exactly what the Uefa Cup is and that's what we want to win this year.
-
If this is a witty gag, I don't get it.
-
This has turned into a bloody good debate.
-
We also have to consider that Chelsea tend to pay inflated prices for their signings given how the market knows to exploit them and their millions when they're in for a player. So when they pay £20M for SWP his true value is probably closer to £10M at the most.
-
By that logic money is good enough to buy the league - and it's more down to the players than the manager. Which lends itself to the notion that Brazil should have won the world cup given the superstars they have.
-
So what you mean is he's not so good in the transfer market?
-
Yup, I just googled it and found myself enlightened.
-
I swear Chelsea played Arsenal as well in the last 2 years in the CL. Am I wrong on that too? EDIT: AHHHHHHH, it was under Ranieri and they won! I was close. Kinda
-
In the last 4 years he's won a CL, a Uefa Cup, and got to the quarters (Beaten by Arsenal) then the last 16 (Beaten by Barca) of the CL. Just going by memory. I might be wrong there.
-
Just to clarify matters, I should just express I am by no means a fan of Arsenal. Not by a long way. Even although I do like their new stadium a lot.
-
You're right there, but they've come closer than Chelsea. And they may well have won it if it hadn't been for Lehmann's sending off.
