    todays game

We seem to be in control and have come close on a couple of occasions. Letizi's made one great save.

    todays game

We're putting out a strong team today, which barring new signings and a couple of switches like Barry and Boyd, will be our first team under PLG until January (Assuming we sign anyone new in that transfer window). Letizi, Hutton, Rod, Svensson, Smith, Clement, Adam, Hemdani, Sionko, Prso, Buffel.
  3. Newcastle have a good nucleus actually in the form of Parker, Owen and Given but the rest of their team is just so rank average. Duff would be a good signing for them.
  4. I almost *almost* feel sorry for Juve. All their stars are being picked off one by one - that's half their first team leeched away from them in the space of a week. But then I remember how much I dislike them and laugh heartily.
  5. There is no way PLG is happy with the 3 we have. I think that's a touch of dramatic license from him in the eventuality we don't get Sebo - trying to butter what we have up.
  6. Maybe I should have said they were tims being fair minded for once...
  7. I agree. They're fair minded tims (Not a phrase I saw myself using any time soon).
  8. BBC have picked up on this story now too. This guy *really* wants to join us badly. That desire reminds me of Dado - and you can never have too many Dados in your team.
  9. Haha, I like that.
  10. And they just showed yet another Celtic player committing a hatchet job on an opposition player. Is this what the SPL have to contend with? A bunch of thugs more content with pillaring players than playing actual football?
  11. NER look much more like scoring than the tims do. Marshall's kept them in it a couple of times. Celtic, from the evidence of their preseason, look a shambles.
  12. LFO have it but don't know if there are any free streams. This is surreal as hell, watching football at 20 to 1!
  13. I think we said this a couple of seasons ago when they signed Walter Samuel - and that was one of the great flop signings of recent years.
  14. With all due respect he could go onto be a golden boot winner and I wouldn't give a damn. He's not an ex player I really care about. However, did you notice the name of the trialist who fed him?
  15. He ran them into the ground and hurt them badly - even if he did take them places in the CL. Not sure just how good a manager he is, seems to be a bit of a mediocre one when he has no chequebook.
  16. Real Madrid have announced the signing of Italy World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro and Brazil midfielder Emerson from Juventus. The pair, who have signed a two-year deal with a further one-year option, will link up with their former Juve boss Fabio Capello at the Bernebeu. Spanish radio said the deal was worth a combined 20 million Euros (£13.7m) Juventus were relegated from Serie A last week after the match-fixing scandal which rocked Italian football. They will start the 2006/07 campaign in Serie B with a 30-point deficit. Real are looking to rebuild after three years without a trophy and the pair are the first arrivals at Madrid since new president Ramon Calderon came to power earlier this month. A statement on the club's website said: "Real Madrid can confirm it has reached an agreement with Juventus over the signing of Fabio Cannavaro and Emerson. "The players are currently on holiday and will be presented at the Bernabeu after signing their respective contracts."
  17. Real have made an absolute killing - for £13.7M combined they've signed Cannavaro and Emerson.
  18. Every summer linked to Chelsea without fail. Usually accompanied by Gerrard also being linked.
  19. Apparently the last 2 seasons in Serie A may be declared void.
  20. Nah, the only thing they could rub Milan or Juve's nose in would be superiority, and they're a long way off that in terms of last season. To win it by default is surely embarrassing for them, and if they accept it gleefully then I really will point and rauciously laugh.
  21. I laugh at pathetic Inter, I really do. Utter losers
  22. Fair play to Celtic for targetting Scots, but my word they're targetting the mediocre ones
  23. Lynds is no longer Lucifer
  24. What worries me more than what he said is the fact people actually take him seriously - well, actually, that people take what they read in the paper in general as fact. That worries me. Papers like the Record and the Sun are full of untruths and salacious garbage.
  25. And I believe there is... It was me who made that point. I am being slightly hypocritical because I began to become in favour of giving Wien what they wanted for the player, but I'm not so sure now that almost £3M for the guy is a fair price.
