I don't honestly know what's been the matter with Chelsea in Europe. They have the ammunition to really go places but some reason they always seem to be missing something at the vital junction. He's a good manager. You don't win the Uefa Cup then the CL without being one of the best around, but for some reason he doesn't seem to be able to translate Chelsea's EPL dominance to Europe. Having Sheva this season will significantly help him though. But he has to play to Sheva's strengths rather than making Sheva play in his system.

No, I've never liked Chelsea. I don't know what gave you that idea. I liked what they stood for in their first season; a toy with unlimited cash to end Arsenal and Man Utd's stranglehold on the EPL - with all these shiny new glamorous players. I found it a curious state of affairs and intruiging as Britain has never had a Real Madrid style club before. But I never supported them as a club - only English clubs I like in any way are Everton and Newcastle. However, the fighting that day was pretty poor.

I must admit I don't know any Chelsea fans in person, but if the ones I know online are indicative of Chelsea fans in general, then it's clear why Chelsea as a whole are so disliked. This is nothing personal but I am seeing the same smug and arrogant mentality being displayed in each case, and when they're discussing their team they become endemically dislikeable.

It's a great signing for Newcastle. imho Duff is a genuinely world class player.

I have got to say I'm most impressed. It looks fantastic - really modern, almost space age. And it's huge and generates an amazing atmosphere. I'd never seen it before - I should just add Arsenal's friendly with Ajax is on five hence why I'm seeing the place.
