Oh he scored plenty of goals. That's the reality of his contribution to Rangers. But if he hadn't scored them, others, maybe not one individual, others would have.
-
But it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter goals you score, as long as you win the game. The only time a title has ever been decided on GD was 51 iirc. And we didn't have Boyd at that point. Titles are never/rarely decided on how many goals you score, they're decided on the number of matches you win lose and draw.

tbh Broadfoot is probably our thickest player - but is he a liar? I have no idea.
-
If Boyd hadn't scored, others would have. When he was out of the team, it didn't hurt us in any real way. Others just chipped in with goals. Admittedly no one player scored as many, but that didn't really count for much. Boyd's moment of glory was our League Cup triumph v QOTS I think it was when he scored twice. Other than that I remember him for literally nothing more than always fucking up against Celtic and wasting a gilt edge chance to take us to the CL quarter finals.
-
I simply despise Celtic and want them to lose everything. I literally don't give a shit about co efficients. I'm not going to lie and talk about the 'good of Scottish football' because outwith Rangers I don't care about Scottish football either. As long as we do our best in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, that's all I care about.

Ok, much has been said on here and elsewhere about Jelavic's performances this season. It's true that he's not quite hitting the heights he did at times last year, and for me it's boiling down to one thing. He seems to have lost his cutting edge. He's needing many more chances to score goals than he used to - he isn't as clinical as he once was. He is so good at getting in the right positions, particular for headers, but how often do we see the resulting shot fly over the bar? In short, he's missing more than he used to.

The topic gets raised then dies down again. It's an annoying cycle which has been going on for at least a decade, maybe longer. It's all hot air, nothing will ever come of it.

It is kind of ironic that instead of having a quiet word with his good friend, he instead splashes his backstabbing opinion slagging him off all over the biggest paper in the country. Hate Lennon or not, that's not what a supposed friend does.
-
Funny how racism isn't actually publicised in this country as a problem, despite being a much bigger issue than the widely whored sectarian issue.

Glad to hear it. Probably my most hated ex Ranger. His attitude towards the end was vile and I couldn't wait to see the back of him. Wish him zero success.

Those bastards at Uefa are determined to crush us eh!?

I can remember when Allan Johnstone did the same! Regarding the OP, one tim I know hasn't lost faith in Lennon, but he thinks he's starting to make errors due to inexperience. Interesting how he wasn't making these supposed errors last year...

Jelavic hands Rangers a boost by pledging loyalty to the club
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think he's playing 'shite' or not at his best BECAUSE of the bids which came in. He's not just lost form. Well, I say that, but his pre-season was poor too. -
Seems a little clearer now. We seem protected to a level but not entirely. There is an outside chance the club as we know it could cease to exist. But that shouldn't happen...? I think I know vaguely what's going on.

For me it's Naismith and Davis as our top performers. Lafferty and Goian 3rd, McGregor 4th, and maybe Jelavic next. -

Mind looks elsewhere. Has done this whole season and his performances haven't matched last year's. Classy lay off for Naismith today but generally the fact he's not even our top striker this year says a lot. -
I've not read much of this as frankly I don't understand economics, business and tax finance when discussed to this level. Can someone put it in dumb laymans' terms for a shmuck like me? Are we seriously at risk of going under?

I don't have the HD package on Virgin - admittedly 2 HD channels for 7 quid a month is a total rip off, but at least I get 2 days of HD on those channels.
-
He doesn't look 49 at ALL. About 43 imo. Happy Birthday Ally, had no idea his birthday was only 2 days after mine! Mind you, I share mine with the original Ronaldo so...actually I have no idea where I'm going with this.

Is there a link between Jig and poor results or is it coincidence?
Danny replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
The reaction would have been 'played dreadful, ground out the win. That's the mark of champions. But we must up our game'. -

As much as I don't rate Edu or indeed Whittaker these days - it's a team game and making one player a scapegoat isn't fair. I mean, if that was the kind of mentality I had I'd blame Alexander for the winner last night - he made a mistake and was at fault. But then that seems to admonish everyone else of responsibility for what was an overall dire display. He was merely one of many players who had a poor night. Just like McGregor actually had a poor OF but that's not been noticed by anyone. I don't recall him making a single decent save. It's a cliche, but it's a team game. You win and lose as a team. Individuals will make mistakes but those adopting the philosophy of a team game won't blame bad results on one player. -

This you coming round to Wallace at last Frankie tbf I praised Papac highly for his display in the OF, but given the choice between the two, most lineups I see on this forum agree with Wallace as first choice. -

I refuse to ever blame one player for a bad result. I think it's unfair and nothing more than scapegoating. McCulloch has served his time at Ibrox - he's given us a lot - sometimes being a fans favourite, others being the punching bag. His versatility has got us through some dark spells - indeed I think the only position he hasn't taken up has been goalie. He also has big time experience, plenty of OF and CL encounters on his CV, and he's terrific in the air. This season however there's no denying he's been poor - and tbh I think Ally has realised this hence not starting with him in the OF match. The Falkirk match was about having a strong team out there, not our strongest team - but the attitude of the majority of the players was just ridiculous. Very few came out with any credit at all. As for McCulloch - I'd be happy if he doesn't play again - but he's a pretty high earner and it's rare to have high earners on the bench. To answer the OP - I'd say coincidence. We'd be in the CL if Jelavic hadn't missed a sitter in Malmo, if our defence had closed down the striker (Larsson?) for their winner. But that's football - and blaming one player for a team's failure is trying to find reason in annoyance. -
It's the same moral conduct that saw Walter leave Scotland for us. And which we worshipped him for. Not sure the SFA and non bear Scotland fans were so keen on it. My point is of course we all know Souness played for Liverpool - that's the point. He wouldn't have left Rangers for anyone else. Hence the Walter comparison.
