The man loves this sort of attention. Well done on giving him it.

Kiddyfiddlerstreet - Reaction To Naismith Being Out
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I'd never be ashamed of being a Rangers fan. I'd be appalled by the behaviour of other supposed fans though. If any said this sort of thing. Which, tbh, I'd be shocked if they didn't on certain other forums. -
Kiddyfiddlerstreet - Reaction To Naismith Being Out
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Some bitter nasty comments, and some slightly less so comments. Bit of a pointless thread really, they have some ok fans, they have some horrors in their fanbase. Just like us - guarantee there were plenty of Izzaguirre posts on the likes of FF who were only too happy last year's POTY was out. -
Naismith confirmed as out for 8-9 months
Danny replied to Rangers Football Club's topic in Rangers Chat
No one can 'replace' Naisy as he's been an integral part of Ally's system this year - from supporting on the right wing to bursting into the box to score a vital goal. He's been the lynchpin this season around which our whole creative system has worked - our most important and effective player. The test now is to see if Ally can adapt to this loss and alter the system to compensate for it. He's going to have to change how we set out, because Lafferty, as great as he's been for months, has excelled in his proper position as second striker - he couldn't do the Naismith job out wide and up front in the same match. Bedoya has been largely unused since we signed him - but he's the most obvious replacement to go out on the right wing. The question is what system we'll use and how we'll deploy our attacking players now that Naismith's invaluable contribution is gone. I hope Ally's up to making the right and proper changes - it's his first real test of management. He really now has to 'manage'. -
It's utterly bizarre to see last season's strong Celtic dwindle into this shambles this year. The fans rallied around their pariah, elevating him to almost messianic status. At a time when they'd been beaten fair and square, their response was defiance and adoration of the Lurgan Bigot. But his poor man management skills have come to the fore this year, while we've gone on an imperious domestic run, and their squad and manager are being shown up. While plenty of tims are saying they still love him, almost none of them want to keep him as manager.

Davis anger at Dons fans as Rangers star Naismith hit by injury woe
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I think it's part and parcel to cheer, as a fan, when an opponent goes down. It's unpleasant and supporters of said player will hate opposition fans for it, but it's part of football. The nastiness is when it's a serious injury and said player is stretchered off - if the cheering continues then that's out of order imo. That's basically like celebrating someone being carted off in an ambulance in the middle of the street. -
Lennon's man management skills strike again. Apparently he wants to name and shame all the players he thinks aren't giving one hundred percent. It's no wonder these guys aren't playing for him - after he savaged them following the St Johnstone defeat.
-
They appear to be blaming absolutely everyone connected to the club tbh. And that's terrific - they can't identify what's wrong.
-
Don't agree that they were crap last year. They were pretty good, and pushed us extremely close. It was having Smith that gave us the eventual edge. Plus the side hitting primo form after the split. But this season they're absolutely dire. The difference between both seasons has been night and day.
-
Indeed - Mad Vlad showed why he was indeed mad to fire a manager who seemed to be in control of a league leading side. Very odd.
-
Wouldn't put it past their schizophrenic season to win that one!
-
Kerrydale St in meltdown, I'm sure Ian will do his usual thing. Celtic truly are atrocious. It's odd, they were a real test last season - Lennon had just about the measure of Walter in the OF games and pushed us all the way in the league. This season his side is worse than their 'dark' days under Mowbray. All the while we struggled badly in the transfer market yet look at us now - untouchable in the league - one away victory away from breaking an 82 year old record. Quite an intriguing season to say the least. Could Motherwell be the side to split the OF for the first time since Aberdeen? Or was it Burley's Hearts?
-
He's shown, since last year's split, why I always had so much faith in him. Finally in a settled position and showing himself to be worth the cash we paid. He will never be a fan favourite - there's something awkward, gangly, and unkempt about him - and he's been an idiot in the past, but his contribution since about April has been unquestionable and he's been one of our most important players in that time.

Just trying to sell papers. And succeeding in doing so I'd wager. Fact is I've never heard of any club being deducted that amount for administration - 10 is the standard deduction.

OTT nonsense from someone with previous for BS. Jelavic is good, and when on form is superb, but it's quite simply crap to judge him in any way in context of Rangers history. An injury disrupted first season and a patchy second is not ground for judging someone among the greats of the club. He is better than Boyd though, I'll give Goram that.

Not so sure about Brines.

Correct. To watch or listen to any live BBC broadcast in the UK you must have a license. If you don't have one you run the risk of being fined. Like I said, it's a forced subscription.

Maybe there's no fee.

Guttuso blinded in one eye - 'I'll come back stronger'
Danny replied to 54andcounting's topic in Rangers Chat
Already been posted in the footie section. -
Apparently he's not actually blind in one eye after all - it's double vision caused by optic nerve damage. But yes, there is a minority of Milan fans who really do not like Gattuso - the majority like him and acknowledge his contribution even if we probably wouldn't pick him in the starting 11 any more.
-
Should be the bloody Tennent's Scottish Cup!
-
The majority of fans would not have been happy with this gesture, and tbh the amount is rather low anyway. But nevertheless at least they're doing something to condemn last year's banner. tbh, it was weird hearing Celtic players bigging up the poppy appeal and promoting it as a good cause.
-
Didn't know about this till yesterday. A real shame and I met the guy many years ago in his Rangers days - shy shy wee thing and you could say he changed somewhat. Some Milan fans really hate him though, and are revelling in his health issues such is their desire for him not to play for Milan. This attitude shocks and disgusts me.

Exclusive - Gersnet Interview with Giovanni van Bronckhorst
Danny replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Great interview, nice coup I'm going to be a dick though and point out a grammar error in the introduction. It says 'seen' instead of 'saw'. *hides* -
My own defence thread and this one are quite positive, but one negative I would suggest is he looked quite poor against St Johnstone (was that the match he managed) - didn't seem to be quite up to speed yet.
