  1. That's my view too mate. I can't renew this year as I finish uni this year and atm don't know where I'm going to be or what i'm going to be doing.
  2. Last competitive international there, Scotland 1 0 England.
  3. Perhpas in terms of attendance, but the "support" from the East enclosure (where I unfortunatley had a ticket Thurs) was not great.
  4. Just goes to show that with the right manager and tactics and a confident set of players, the team can be more than the sum of its parts.
  5. Cheers mate I'll send it to my brother. He's down in England with Virgn tv so no bbc2 scotland. Shoudl get it online now cheers.
  6. Cheers Ian, will it be easy to navigate to the online stream from their sports pages or does anyone have a link?
  7. Is it BBC1 or 2? Has it as one here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/r/rangers/6420393.stm But hearing now it's 2. If it is 2, can someone provide me with the link for watching it on the net through BBC. Its for my wee brother. Cheers Guys.
  8. Cheers mate. Nice to see balance reporting. Maybe we should contact NBM.
  9. Didn't see this news bulletin. But how can they really argue that some of our fans are paranoid after the way they went after us thsi time last year for a similar incident?
  10. Like the part where Souness is saying that Celtic don't have any match winners at this level and no one disagrees. Not even Nicholas (Fud). Had that been said in a Scottish media studio i'm sure someone would have started banging on about Nakamura or McGeady. Edit: not sure if you can heart it on this clip, but its definitely on R.B's clip in footy chat.
  11. Agreed really need a 2-0 win.
  12. We're definitely short of a few players to be confdent of acheiveing that. But you look at the Celtic starting XI and they have a few weak links. Not impresses by Telfer. Their CB's are inexperienced big lumps. They have a largely slow ageing CM. The Jap goes hiding in most games and yet is being touted POTY. Hesselink is their only good striker. I think looking at them, they're not a great side, but they've currently got that winning mentality. Perhaps if we were mounting a stronger challenge we'd see what they are really made of.
  13. Handball was blatant. Second one the players were side by side, if anything Naka runs into the defender and falls on his arse. Never a pen for me. The ref also saved there arse twice. Not playing advantage when the ball had broken kindly in the box to Milan players. Swings and roundabouts. At the end of the day, although Milan were well below par, the better team over two legs went through.
  14. I believe so, although the source was another fans site, not checked the bbc or anything.
  15. Could've been watching Rasziak.
  16. As the title says, BF will equal Greig's record of 64 Euro appearances when he plays tomorrow. Not bad.
  17. Started writing that out of boredom, slow day on the board. Got towards the end and began realising just how bad it looks. As you've posted there, two top quality signings for LM and CF and we would be looking a decent outfit. But will we get the funds to bid for and then be able to attract these players? Probably not. And even if we could, we couldn't afford an injury or we'd be looking just as weak as before.
  18. Of the guys who are guaranteed to be here and with those currently leaving (Novo, Prso, Klos etc) is this the best line-up we can start next year? McGregor Hutton Weir Webster Smith Burke Fergie Thomson Adam Boyd Gow With subs from: Gk - Robinson RB - Lowing CB - Ehiogu Svensson Broadfoot Papac (?) LB - Murray (Also a CB) Midfield - Hemdani Buffel Sionko(maybes) Forwards - Sebo (Have I forgotten any first team squad players?) Anyway, looking at that line-up, i'm happy with AM in goal and AH at RB. I know many fans aren't, but I think they do their job and we have more pressing concerns. If we get a "war chest" from somewhere and sort out all other positions, then look at buying players better than these two. Right now I don't beleive it is a viable option in terms of how we use any transfer budget. However we do need to look at bringing in competition for both positions within our budget. I actually think the CB position is looking very strong. A quick turnaround there from WS afterwhat PLG left him. Experienced heads of Weir, Webster and Ehiogu who can hopefully bring on the youngsters of Svensson and Broadfoot. Papac may very well be let go. LB also looks fine to me. Smith is a cracking wee player who can and will improve, and although Murray is not the same attacking threat he is an able deputy who can also fill in in most other positions. With Rae and Clement off, the midfield begins to look very light. I don't think we have the players to suit a formation incorporating Hemdani, Thomson and Fergie. Fergie has to start whenever fit. Our best and only top class player. You have to ask how likely is it that Thomson will not start most games. WS is not likely to be able to afford many £2million players, so you would expect Thomson to play. This begs the question, would Hemdani be happy as back up at CM and CB? Or will WS look to buy the players to fit this 4-4-1-1 type formation? With NN not being offered a new contract as of yet, who covers CA and CB on the wings? Does WS have Sionko in his plans? I'm not so sure. Cover on both wings is a neccessity, although maybe Gow has been bought with LM in mind. The centre forward position is also a worry. Looking at the available players, Boyd and Gow would be likely first choices. Boyd is guaranteed goals, but you need other goal threats for when Boyd has an off day as is stated when he's not scoring he's not often effective. Sebo and perhaps Buffel (although WS already tried to sell him) look like the only back up. God help us. Does NN deserve a new contract. Can Prso show he is fit enough for another year? Looking at that potential first XI it would be solid, but short on quality in midfield and more importantly upfront. The squad would also be severely lacking in depth. If Prso can prove his fitness he has to be kept on. Depending on other options, it may also be worthwhile keeping Nacho on for another couple of years although I am undecided on this one. The potential signings of Brown, McCulloch and McDonald are essential imo. They would add some fight to the team and depth and quality to the squad. However it would not fill the other mhob with dread. A potential starting line up may then look as follows: McGregor Hutton Weir Webster Smith Brown Fergie Thomson McCulloch Boyd McDonald With the following pushing for a start: Robinson Ehiogu (Svensson) Adam Burke Prso (For key games and impact substitutions. He couldn't last a full season.) Novo I would sell Sebo and Buffel and look at the "problem" positions of RB and GK. An improving squad but still severely lacking in depth and that extra bit of quality. Certainly, the recent signings by WS and the potential (expected) signings of Brown, McCulloch and McDonald are taking steps in the right direction, but typing this has just made me realsie what more is needed.
  19. Surely its the quality of the player, not the club they come from? Gravesen has been a waste of money and everyone has to start somewhere. You have guys like Broadfoot who've managed to play 150 games for St. Miren learning their trade and earning a move to a bigger club. Where hopefully a better standard of team mate, opposition (in europe) and coaching staff should improve him even more. Agree with R.B in that i can't understand the knocking of guys who've yet to play for us whilst backing Sebo etc. These young scots coming in have proven they are better SPL standard players and have yet to be tested further.
  20. Agree mate. My opinion used to be that this country is going too pc and we should try and get back to how it was before where a little bit of a wind-up was acceptable. But now with the obvious agenda of anything we say = bigotry, but anyone can say what they like about us and it is satire etc, I think the only way we can act now is to ensure they "stick to the borders they've made", as you put it.
  21. Above is the latest from the official site. Link: http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~992217,00.html Also the game sold out today, but the Spaniards returned 1000 tickets which will go on sale to the Teddy bears. C'mon guys lets sell this game out and use the voice of the fans to initmidate the opposition: http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~992225,00.html
  22. It would be worth the cost of the ticket to see McCulloch doing to Lennon what he did to Morgan of Sheff Utd.
  23. Disagree. Did set up Fergie and had one tame shot. That aside his hold up play was as bad as Boyd's imo.
  24. Agree mate. Which means the fans have to continue to back the team, even if it stays nil nil for a while. Unfortunately we'll prob jump on their backs after 5 mins.
  25. Btw take it you can read Spanish. Still cant take anything for granted, but any edge we can get, such as them playing a weakened team and not focusing on this game has to be taken.
