  1. Got stuffed by Hearts this week.
  2. Rumours from a guy who's been at the Argyle House Restaurant that the pitch has been cut into a union flag. Can anyone confirm? Or is it just a wind up?
  3. Good day for us I guess. Lets make sure we capitalise tomorrow.
  4. I'm suprised, thought you would be against this. I'm not sure, if he played like he did in the CL last year, more often then of course i'd be happy.
  5. Some of teh stories have a bit more character but appear to lack professionalism: The part here about struggling around like a drunk man and being hit by a bulldozer. http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~982841,00.html And here about Zurab "nearly killing" McCann: http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,5~982849,00.html Had been meaning to comment on the official site before as I didn't really feel the match reports were being written by someone bear friendly. I don't want bias reports in our favour, but was finding the way they were wording things odd. Almost as if I was reading a report from the Sun or something. Guess that was just me though.
  6. Disagree gisabeer, common sense prevails. Lets stop these foreign eejits turning football into any more of a girls sport than they already have. (No offence meant).
  7. His translator or whatever said that it was because Romanov wasn't from here and had got the wrong end of the stick. Do you not think that this spokesman would've spoke to Romanov before speaking to the media? Then Romanov comes out and contradicts him by saying he's been mis-quoted. Looks to me like he told one lie to cover it up, then thought "oh, actually i've got a better lie" and contradicted the previous statement, losig any credibility in the most recent response. Idiot.
  8. And passage through the qualifiers.
  9. 9th, beat Gimnastic at the weekend. Read it on the official site.
  10. Glad we got the traitor out before he did anymore damage. How have we risen again without playing though?
  11. Agree, Osasuna will win, but would rather play Bordeaux.
  12. Like the sound of this, a Gersnet player of the eyar.
  13. Don't care about him. Had an average season. Why make a fuss of him?
  14. Please no Hemdani at the back.
  15. 2 big errors imo. Yet he apologises for the cock-up that affected them. Ok it was the linesman that fucked us but still. Ref's never apologise, certainly none of the one's who were screwing us on a weekly basis with penalty calls at the start of the season, so why this 1 decision?
  16. You are right, but I'm quite the hypocrite when it comes to footy and Rangers.
  17. Missed that about Wenger, that's pretty funny. I take it Almunia had been playing in goals in the Carling cup then?
  18. Agree with what you're saying here, but also see Gazza8's point about the time wasting. When Rangers are needing a goal and the opposition keper starts doing stuff like walking to the other side of his box to take the kick it drives me mental, cz they never get told not to do it and there's f.a you can do to stop them. Having said that how did Lehmanthink he would get away with "accidentally" bouncing the ball off the advertising board as he climber over? And now he misses the Carling Cup final apparently. Idiot.
  19. Thought the first pen was a foul, but obviosuly outside the box. Evened it up by another scandalous decisionin disallowing Fergie's goal. Agree re: best players, but would add Burke in there, always looked dangerous for me. Bit annoyed at Hutton. I'm usually one sticking up for him, saying he's no world beater but certainly gets OTT abuse. And today I thought he was having a cracker, playing as an attacking FB, got forward v well, good cross for Boyd's second. And then he has that ridiculous charge on Naismith. Nearly ruined one of his best performances, but McGregor saved his ass. C'mon Alan you're better than that. If it wasn't for that he'd have been close to MoM. Instead i'd pick Barry or Boyd probably.
  20. Don't want to slag the guys arranging this, and will have to reserve judgment til the day of the display, but I think the card displays would look more impressive. I may be wrong though.
  21. Not trying to start a pro PLG/anti PLG thread so this may seem a bit hypocritical, but: Read the Metro as I was stuck on a train today and Jim Jefferies stated that he was disappointed PLG had left as SPL clubs always felt they had a chance v PLG's team especailly with the week defence. Now that WS had combatted this by bringing in Ugo and Weir he wasn't so confident. Or words to that effect. So does anyone have an arguement to counter this opinion, without dragging it into a PLG/WS debate, as hard as I realise that may be? Try and make your points relevant to the strengths of the squads and not a manegment bashing exercise. Although I realsie the two are related in many situations.
  22. Story here argues Thomson likely to start. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.1182486.0.0.php However, in for Kirk Broadfoot? I know fuck all about this guy other than he was in the Scotland B squad. Is he a player we should be looking at?
  23. Lol. I think you and I are on a similar wavelength on this one Jim. However, the guys who are trying to create this display (credit to them) went to the club with an idea for 50k UJ's. But the club have responded with 50:50 UJ's:Saltires, and I think, for once, the management have to be saluted for protecting and promoting the roots of the club (as many see them) whilst keeping the majority of fans happy with this compromise, and not giving the impartial British media and opportunity to attack us. (Oh I meant to add, aye fucking right to the last one . Only in Britain can you be pillried for being proud of your country, yet are applauded for claiming ot be another nationality. Could you see the French applauding their own people for saying fuck you's i'm German. ) Edit: corrected some of the numerous mistakes. Lol
  24. Can't rememeber who exactly, but an ex player (a tim I think) was in the ET a while back, slagging the OF about there contribution to the national side. But he phrased it in such a way to make us come off worse, even though we were actually starting more scots in our team (I.e use of phrases such as Brits in terms of the Gers, but then waxing lyrical about Celts Scots in their squad). So I thought it would be worth pointing out that Thomson captained and Hutton, Adam and (soon to be Ger) Gow played, for the B's. McGregor would've been in goal but for injury. Fergie (national captain) Murray, Boyd and Burke have made recent full squads, with 3 of the 4 certain to be regular members. Then there's the fact that 8 of the 11 in the victory shield, a home nations tournament for a youth age group (u16's I think) are Gers. When we're not contributing highly to the squads we are rightly pilloried. Are we now getting recognition for our positive involvements in the squads?
  25. Bloody hope so. Prior to Thomson coming allied to McKay's comments and a lack of players denying what he said, I thought we'd get neither. Now that we've persuaded arguably the harder player to join (that's written really badly but think you know what I mean) I think we'll get Brown.
