  1. Also come postive comment from AJ:
  2. Sing press following the site: http://www.todayonline.com/Sports/EDC120418-0000059/Singapore-led-consortium-closer-to-takeover-of-Glasgow-Rangers Just to be clear, I didn't say anything about a poll favouring Ng - in fact I suggested TBK were the fans' favourites...
  3. They're only talking about Kennedy...
  4. Welcome to Gersnet everyone!
  5. I think it's pretty funny the lengths Celtic fans will go to prove a point. Any sensible person would have doubted the fan stuff -well meaning or otherwise - and it was a bit daft to go on about it. However, as said last week when the CFC fans spent hours trying to discredit the guy, if pointing out he may not actually be as big a bear as he claims is the only flaw then I'm quite happy. I think I've said before there are people involved in this bid that are bears so will have done their homework much more effectively than any Celtic supporter.
  6. I think MD has been very complimentary about Ng on FF - confirming he has substantial wealth and is a credible bidder.
  7. The fat lady won't be singing until at least 14 days from now and, quite possibly, a fair bit longer than that.
  8. Really is quite an incredible situation. How Regan et al can look across the same table as Lawwell/Riley knowing they tolerate (and arguably encourage) his behaviour is beyond me.
  9. I'm astounded there were no arrests.
  10. Kennedy was never out the mix. This is why some of the bidders don't want to pay the exclusivity fee. What's the point if you can be still be trumped in 2 weeks time?
  11. It's non-refundable and it has also been rumoured that it is non-deductible from any final offer for the club. Apparently the first part is common-place but second part less so. We'll see.
  12. As I've been saying for the last week or so, I don't think preferred bidder status is that big a deal actually. In many ways it's a risk to pay £500K when there are still a variety of unknowns which can and will contribute. It's certainly not game over for TBK and this will give them a chance to sit back and revisit the parts of their bid which could be causing them problems. As for Ng et al, hopefully this will now give them to opportunity to release more info about them and their plans. Our support are incredible and if they really recognise that, then they'll be keen to expand upon our involvement for the future.
  13. I believe all bidders were annoyed at the excessive fee and that it has been reduced at least once already from a higher value. LIke I say, I'd imagine all bidders can afford it easily enough but just don't want to pay it because it may not be worth the risk.
  14. I don't think it's a case TBK can't afford it, just that they're probably querying the scale of it.
  15. The usual pandering to the paranoid masses. Disappointing from STV.
  16. Such a fee is standard practice apparently though the bidders feel it is excessive. Essentially it's seen as a commitment by the admin to show a bid is indeed serious. This also offers 'exclusive' access to further financial information and dialogue with relevant parties for two weeks. Unfortunately, there is some debate whether or not this would represent good value given people like Kennedy have said they may make a renewed bid at the end of this period.
  17. Interesting that Jim Traynor feels it is the exclusivity fee which is holding back preferred bidder status being awarded to TBK. http://blogs.dailyrecord.co.uk/jimtraynor/2012/04/knightmare---liquidation-looms.html
  18. The problem is getting his shares. Will he work with the preferred bidder and what does he want for them?
  19. I reckon a preferred bidder will be named pretty quickly actually. Only questions are will they pay the exclusivity fee and can they remove Craig Whyte from the equation?
  20. The problem is Craig Whyte.
  21. I think the penalty was somewhat harsh but it was offset by the offside goal. Some of our fans may still have moaned but our manager would be rushing onto the field or our players tweeting about it after the fact.
  22. I never said longevity is my benchmark of quality - I just said using one thread as your cue to suggest that a reasonably popular and balanced site is a joke is arguably flawed. What other examples do you have to substantiate your claim as I'd like to address your concerns? We don't profess to be perfect but I'd certainly say we try our best to offer an independent view of all issues while also welcoming all opinions. Yes, some people will perhaps hold erroneous views on some subjects but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be permitted to air them (as long as they're without insult). Thankfully, when this does happen they're almost always challenged which is the point of debate.
  23. Personally I find BH's concerns a bit OTT - I'm sure the guy can manage both directorships easily enough - as do many similar people throughout the business world. If you don't like this or argue his value is subsequently poor, then it's easy enough to move your business elsewhere. As for suggestions that this forum is fast becoming some sort of joke, well I'd suggest 12 years of involvement in the online community - including representation within a variety of supporter led projects - is perhaps more indicative of its quality than one thread where most people disagree with the point being made. But, hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion here and there are plenty of other forums to use if you don't like this one.
  24. No idea what info bidders have but Id fancy each will have planned for different outcomes. I agree an appeal is unlikely but it could happen.
  25. Decision should be imminent but the result could go either way and be appealed. All indications point to HMRC not opposing a CVA though but only if Whyte is not involved. That remains uncertain also.
