Looks like you've posted a link to an employee's only intranet... -
You better believe mate - worst memory going I have. Go through a pad of Post It's every week at home and work..

I'll look into it tomorrow mate....

It was an interesting read. And you're quite correct that people seem a bit impatient when it comes to something with an apparently alternative viewpoint.

Yeah, hope Celtic go out - we need the money!
-
I must admit I find the whole situation somewhat puzzling. Yes, we all know we had to shed money by shedding players and their wages but, as you wrote, we've certainly managed to move on enough of the squad to surely appease the bank whilst the CL money should help ensure we cut the debt by an amount that should help going forward. As such, when we keep reading about how certain key players are the next to go, I just wonder where we are heading here when we're only another year from needing at least one more defender (Broadfoot and Weir's contracts are up) and goalscorer (Novo and Boyd contracts are up). If we can't afford these replacements now, how will we manage it next season with CL football far from guaranteed? There are obviously problems at MIH (not sure when they report their annual figures) so perhaps our owner is attempting this fire-sale to claw back what he can before he bails out to concentrate on that. We've all read the rumours about Dougie Park, Souness, McColl et al but instead of investment we only see further cut-backs. Like you say it all seems a bit strange. I'm all for the club being more efficient (even self-sufficient if necessary) but I'm unsure what kind of strategy we're employing here. Time for our chairman to come out and clear the air somewhat. With our financial results due to be published any day now and the club AGM also on the horizon, we can expect him to re-appear. Problem is, can we see past the spin to that reality of the situation. Where is our club going? And who is steering?
-
I was expecting to hear the club was being sold yesterday.... Nah, I was just on holiday last week and didn't have time to post a full reply. I did have something interesting to say but can't remember what it was now...
-
Stewart being suspended is extremely handy for us given we're short of fully fit central midfielders ourselves at the moment.
-
I'm loathe to believe the article but if we sell Boyd for the figures quoted it will be nothing short of a scandal. We're all well aware of the lad's shortcomings but he remains the best goalscorer in the country. Renewing his contract may be costly (his wages would need to be increased by a fair amount) but at least we have him retained at the club and his transfer value increases.
-
Perhaps distance could be applied to the problematic relationship between the club and our support...?
-
I certainly can't say for sure but I really feel supporting a football team must be more stressful now than ever. Before you turned up to the game (which you could afford to go to or even watch on TV for nothing on occasion) and sang the songs you wanted before going to the pub, having a ciggie, then enjoying a chippie on the way home. Now, many people can't afford to attend, can't afford to watch it on the telly, are not allowed to sing songs, have to stand outside the pub to have a ciggie and are scared to eat fried food and drink alcohol in case hospitals refuse to treat them in the future. Add in internet/fanzine culture where we binge ourselves on debate about the club 24/7, is it any wonder we start to feel sick more often.

Yeah we would even if Gallacher and Adam have rated highly. Tuffey from Plastic Whistle may be a good choice if it came to that.

Exactly what I felt. Davis wasn't bad - just average and inconsistent which is annoying when he does light up our play often enough. -
I think that explains the situation rather well metaphorically speaking... :D
-
Good stuff - remember we're happy to have articles about any subject if people want to get stuff off their chest...
-
Yip, disgraceful... Similar (but incredible not as bad) as the Les Mottram incident years back... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKuLtLXl7FI]YouTube - Worst decision made by a football referee ever ![/ame]

Next time you feel ashamed or let down by our support..

We shouldn't fear challenging the media just because some may suggest we're paranoid. Of course we need to pick and choose our battles to retain credibility but it is about time we stood our for ourselves and our club when it comes to unfair coverage. -

I think that's the case with most of us mate. Miller had a decent season over the piece last year and has started in a similar vein this term. If he can retain this level of performance and stay free from injury, then I'm happy for him to be in the team. Did find his badge beating after his first goal on Saturday a bit difficult to stomach though.
