That's fantastic if true, just need to wait for official confirmation. Hopefully this precedes a wee run of positive news.

You should do, that's where all the cool cats hang out

No-one likes us... but actually we do care!

Mibbes, but working our way through the divisions should we drop to Div 3 would seriously hamper our income. We could realistically be playing to crowds a third of the size at Porkheid. Add in the potential loss of interest - which is feasible - and by default the loss of a 'generation' or so of fans whose family ties become severed and this maybe isn't as positive as at first sight.

I'm sorry, but European football is the last thing on my mind. I'm more concerned about having a team - a competitive one - in the SPL next season.

Bishop's Stortford????? Our national under-21s have a guy playing for Bishop's Stortford. Really. That;s bad. -
Ronald Koeman on Feyenoord and Rangers similarities
juffery replied to Tumshie RFC's topic in Rangers Chat
Kerkar was 21-22 when he signed. Hardly a Rangers youth. It's just that he's taken until he was 24 to be 'ready' for the first team. -
Fuck man, I've just eaten

Three game sin a row with dropped points. 2 if one was ra Sellick. I've advocated this approach since McLeish times. It's sad when you see players like McCormack and Adam and we have to watch Healy and Edu, because apparently they're better. -
Dismayed by some of my fellow "fans".

I could reply in depth, but it's much easier to just agree 100% with this. Well, I would pump Kate Middleton, does that class as an interest in the monarchy? -
Why does the club still have this huge £10m shortfall per season?
juffery replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
Not a chance - you look at that squad and for all the wheat, there's plenty of over priced chaff. -
My favourite player ever to pull on the shirt. And there's some stiff competition.

Now that's a squad to compare with - only ten years ago -

Transfer Spending in England 2006-2011
juffery replied to Juancornetto's topic in General Football Chat
Thing is though, ten years ago they were the invincibles, 5 years ago shoe-ins for champions league spot and now they're battling for a Europa league spot. Wonder how many arsenal fans think a 6 million quid profit is worth it? -

There'll be a lot of arsenal fans looking at that and shaking their heads. -
Kinda loathe to post rumours, but had heard the other day that Jig, Healy, Papac, Davis and McGregor had all offered to take wage cuts. Admirable if true, but as i said, just a rumour.

Is the European deadline a priority?
juffery replied to Max Rebo's Big Blue Nose's topic in Rangers Chat
I would rather go through this process properly and come out the other side in a healthy position than rush it to meet an unrealistic deadline. -
"We are more than just a football club, Rangers are a state of mind." Dorin Goian Well, if everything else goes tits up, we could hire the guys out as motivational speakers

It can be difficult to take the moral high ground when those you are taking it against have none whatsoever and I wasn't meaning to infer that you condoned it at all. But the supporters who do feel it's right and acceptable to sing it have to accept that times have changed and no matter how put upon we/they feel, it does absolutely nobody - in particular the majority of the 50+ thousand there - any favours whatsoever. It's always said that no player/manager whatever is bigger than the club, neither's a song.

I would not be surprised at all if the SPL move the game, as a matter of fact I'm expecting them to. Think of the parachuting and Hugh Dallas' face after we won there - I won't be allowed to happen again, especially with the heightened tension. At the very least away fans will be banned - I think it'll be a league/Police decision rather than left to the clubs, but to be honest I don't think it'll be at the grounds where the problems will be at there worst, I won't be venturing anywhere in the west of Scotland that night!

Can't help but agree. There's defiance and then there's just plain daft. We should surely know that if it gets sung there'll be sanctions and we can ill afford any financial penalties and we definitely cannot afford any besmirching of our reputation at this time. As with on the park, off the park this should be a chance for a fresh start.

But I'm still struggling to see what those skills are?
-
Well, if he was to play them we might find out. And if he was to play them in the right position that might help too
-
I'm not denying that Ally appears to have his faults. His tactics and use of subs has been poor, but really what more motivation should these guys need? People like Healy, Davis, McCulloch are supposed massive fans of the club. Papac, Bocanegra, Goian are seasoned pros who should have a certain degree of professional pride. Then there is the fact that these guys should, if nothing else, be playing for the fact that they could be out of a job anytime soon and be hoping that they will catch someones eye and have a job next season.
