There is a difference between humour and an outright slur on someone's character especially one with absolutely no basis.

Because of his price tag, goals were never going to be enough for Flo to be judged a success. He was seen as the guy to really push us on in Europe when he came and it never happened ergo, a waste of money.

I beg to differ - we should have comfortably made the play-offs and before now. Far too many silly dropped points - the Czechs are not a good team anymore and we should have taken 4 points from them as well as 6 from Lithunia. Spain games are a write off obviously, but with our squad, which is decent, we shouldn't have to be relying on favours. This was our best chance to do something for a while.

I don't think Wylde is good enough yet to be with the full squad. Not really seen enough of Forrest to judge in him. What happened to John Fleck's call-up???

That's it in a nutshell - he's one of these players whose second touch is more often than not a tackle. I do think he's more effective going forward than holding, but I'm hoping with teh development of Ness and Hutton and teh signing of McKay and the American dude, we will either see an improvement through playing in a more natural position or see him just not in the team.

I really don't think he's done that badly - and that was before the goal tonight. Possibly some people have heard teh word 'winger' mentioned and think we've sign Arjen Robben. He looks solid, without being spectacular, composed and technically quite good - first touch etc. He's not got blistering pace or a half dozen stepover trick in his back, but you don't really get that for the money we're paying these days.

Hope he gets away with feck all - scrote that Lennon is, you cannae have that at the football.

You look at it the other way though. Paul McStay was, regardless of his team, a very promising, talented midfielder. I seem to remember growing up and year after year Napoli, Genoa and others coming in for him, but he wanted to captain ra Sellick, it was his boyhood dream etc. He could've gone to Italy or Spain, not for the money - although I'm sure it would've improved - but he could've expanded his talent, developed his skills and been remembered as more than just the who choose ra Sellick over playong alongside Maradona.

Maybe it's Steve's accent - it'll make him feel at home.

Wallace looks good and I think we got him at a fair price. Ortiz looks like he'll do a job once he settles into his role in the team (possibly right wing-back). Goian, haven't seen enough yet to judge, Bartley is a very good player and will do well, but possibly isn't the new Messiah some are bigging him up to be. Bedoya, I know nothing off. Still need a few in, but happy enough with those who have arrived. I am annoyed at the way things have been done though - not the rejected bids as such, we have to ca' canny with the cash, if that means going in and out with 5 or 6 bids to end up saving us a half million, so be it - but that everything has been done so publicly. I don't know if this is an exercise to appease fans - look how hard we're trying - or to pressure clubs into selling, whatever it is I find it distasteful and amateurish.
