  1. I think far too much is being read into this. It's obvious that we're shooting ourselves in the foot almost game after game. A bit of mind games prior to visit to Porkhied never went amiss.
  2. Signing off until the 28th guys, have a good one - wishing you all a Merry Blue Christmas

http://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/paul_goodwin_s_verdict_sharp_s_january_dilemma_will_make_or_break_rovers_season_1_4086547 I think that article says a lot about him. I think he would do a similar job for us to what Hooper has done for them. And with an apparent 3 mill release clause he should be well within our budget should Jelavic go.

Billy Sharp at Doncaster - would snap him up.

You had me up till Novo
  6. I worked in a job where I was regularly punched, kicked, spat on, attacked with knives etc etc. You have to get yourself safe and that's that. Any sort of retribution and you're up on charges. Last time I take a job as a steward at Porkheid.
  7. I think he may go with Broadfoot so he can get Bartley into the midfield. Other option is to put Papac in at centre half, Wallace to left back to get Barts in the middle. And there was the Sasa as the central midfielder experiment a couple of weeks back... The horror!!!

Indeed he did, but then struggled to get the cross in on his right foot.

Not really saying much there. I reckon I could've been in the top three
  10. I normally just use Kleenex

Whenever i saw him play for Aberdeen it was on the left. To me he looks totally left footed and wikipedia - it's ALWAYS right - lists him as a left winger.

He's looked positive in the time he's been at the club, but am I alone in being hugely frustrated at seeing him on the right. I know it's almost par for the course these days to play wingers on their opposite sides - Adam Johnston at Man City has had great success coming in onto his left foot and scoring a few crackers - but I want to see Aluko get past his man, hit the line and whip in a cross. You can see he struggles because he's always wanting to get back onto his left foot, slowing down any momentum he has had to get away from his man and allowing the defence and the keeper to get set. Ideally you want him tearing past the full back, getting the ball in, drawing the keeper off his line and allowing our rampaging midfielders to stride into the box on the end of the cross - boom, goal. It does my bloody head in and I think it's hindering Aluko himself.
  13. Can't see it, but I reckon this line-up may give them a wee scare and might make the guys who are so out of form pull their collective fingers out. :kbart: :sd: :kh: :mm: :sa: :tkb: :kl: I would give the front three freedom to roam and encourage Davis to basically spend his day getting ahead of Lafferty. It's not gonna happen and I predict this line-up :sw: :kb: :sp: :sa: :sd: :kbart: :me: :nj: And I also predict that not one of the three centre mids in that line up will have any effect on the opposition penalty box.
  14. I don't think that Scottish refs are any better or worse than anywhere else. Plenty of honking decisions in the EPL, la Liga etc every week.
  15. I've been saying this for several weeks. He looks as if his mind is elsewhere - probably the premiership.
  16. Craig, what I heard on 5live is that it's violent conduct against anyone on the field of play including a pitch invader. The ref has applied the letter of the law here. It's retaliation in the same way if a player had kicked the keeper and he then did that to his opponent.
  17. Just cos he would walk over broken glass doesn't make him any good. Just about the most frustrating player I've ever seen in a Rangers strip.
  18. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16300956.stm youtube links keep getting pulled so here's the BBC one. It's violent conduct so the ref had to obey the letter of the law. The keeper should have shown some restraint, the guy was down, stewards were getting there. Obviously you don't expect to be attacked whilst going about your job, but you do have to show a certain amount of restraint and he should have just got himself out of there.
  19. Wouldn't evra have to make a complaint to the police for them to get involved. The thing about this is the difference in cultures and the translations. He's essentially been found guilty of abusing someone in Spanish by english-speaking standards.
  20. Aye, we get together to spit roast the dirty wee blonde students :-P
  21. Actually I thought I missed one.
  22. We could've done with someone to score a goal three against st 'diddy' Johnstone and diddy killie.
  23. What's Stephane g'ui'va'rch doing these days?
  24. Hmm, not really. Class is permanent :rfcbouncy:
  25. Well, given that we're talking right now, I would take Miller. I reckon it's not actually a goalscorer we're lacking, but someone who is going to create chances as well as chip in with a few goals. Given the service he could provide for Jelavic I think Miller would be the better bet. However, really given the choice, Gabriel Amato wins hands down.
