Match Thread [FT] Dundee Utd 0 - 2 Rangers (Sakala 54; Tillman 57)

Yes, it's like chalk and cheese compared with GvB. His whole demeanour is so dynamic, you can see how he will lift the atmosphere among the squad. -

Very sad news. He had everything .... except time it seems.

He looks as well-equipped to look after "Corporate Affairs" as a small haddock. Looks like another case of justifying an overblown salary by attributing an inappropriately senior job title.

Dreams are turning to nightmares if we seriously think any Bellingham is destined for Rangers. -
Maybe there's some information I'm not privy to but I can't see what corporate affairs has to do with communication. You might even think the two were polar opposites.

Ryan Kent "By some distance" 😁 Commendations to Fashion Jr, obviously, and also Ben Davies who I feel is settling in nicely (apart from a couple of misplaced passes early on)

Match Thread [FT] Rangers 2 (Kent 47; Tavernier pen 52) - 2 Celtic

There's a case to be made that, while recent recruitment has been a huge failure, the root of it has been poor judgement when it comes to selling. Too often we've missed opportunities to cash in on players who could have funded better signings, only for those players to wither and end up as unsellable passengers ... Kamara and Morelos being two good examples. -

I learned almost nothing about our players that I didn't already know. What I did take from the game today is that we've spent the season making Celtic look far better than they really are ... and that Mick Beale looks like being the right choice of manager after all. -

So let down at half time. So uplifted when we went ahead and obviously deflated not to hold out for a win. Now, with a couple of hours to reflect, the question is … did we turn a corner today, is this where a revival begins? -

A draw was as much as I dared hope for at the outset but the frustration at the end is huge. So much of this Rangers team is way past their shelf life but I think we also saw that Celtic is far from unstoppable. As someone already said, we beat ourselves today. Tomorrow we have to start a big clear out of dead wood. -

It’s what happens when you lack character and conviction. Too many just don’t believe in themselves. -

We’re being given a football lesson here. It’s what we might have expected but it’s brutal to watch -

Tavernier with yet another powder puff tackle. He’s a hopeless defender. -

I hate those bloody drums. Even moved to the other side of the main stand to get away from them. Us in the old fart loyal didn't need drums in our day. -
Pele was peerless. Such grace over the ground and in the air. More than just an incredible talent, he brought beauty to playing football. There may have been a better football player before him but I know few have even come close since. A true wonder, all Brazil will mourn his passing and celebrate his memory, as will people all round the world who remember him in his playing days.

Noise, enthusiasm, applause, positive reaction to positive performance. But not fukking drums. How about you? -
In my experience, OF games usually do go with form. We could win on Monday but it's more likely the best we can hope for is a draw and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what we get.

I suppose it depends on what you think of as 'atmosphere'. If I wanted to spend an afternoon singing, I'd join a choir. -

The motivation is loyalty and above all ... hope. Hope that the team will produce a performance worth getting excited about. Whether anyone like it or not, crowds react, they don't take the lead. If the team serves up mind numbing crap, the crowd will respond accordingly. If the team wants backing from the crowd, they have it in their own gift to generate it. In general, the atmosphere at Ibrox is only a reflection of what's happening on the park.
