  1. When you stop and think what SG has done for this club in two and a half seasons it's nothing short of remarkable. From the shambles against Progres Niederkorn and what felt like endless humiliations against Celtic he's restored the club's pride, restored the club's standing across the footballing world, largely healed and united the support and utterly eclipsed our greatest rivals. Now we stand on the verge of our first trophy in ten years. From the very start I've believe he fully understood where he was and the task in front of him. He has never bullshitted anyone, never tried to curry favour and never been anything other than straight with players and fans alike. I don't know how long we'll have him at Rangers but I suggest everyone should relish every minute we have this diamond at the helm. Don't waste a second in negativity.
  2. I think we’ll manage well without Tavernier. I’d rather have him fit and playing but we’ll adjust without much difficulty. There are other players who can do the job and who won’t let us down.
  3. If you could teach young men one thing it would have to be that actions have consequences. However, young men seldom learn without first having to endure some of those consequences and if you indulge them too much then they tend not to learn at all. I think it would be as well if Patterson was loaned out for a spell to think about what he could be losing.
  4. Absolutely. In fact, in a one-off vote for player of the year I think it would be hard to look past him. What a superb signing he's turned out to be!
  5. If Tavernier were to leave in the summer, would we really want to rely on Patterson to fill his boots? Is he genuinely that good and, if he is, what are we basing that judgment on?
  6. I only we hadn't let Josh Windass slip through our fingers. That aside, it's very surprising none of our central defenders feature in the top five, given this is a season largely built on our defensive record.
  7. It wasn't the sort of game that has an obvious MOTM. No one stood out to any great degree, everyone made contributions and everyone made mistakes. The only real winner was the team for its collective effort, cohesion and spirit. Tbh I'm no longer sure I even understand what a MOTM vote requires. Unless it's a truly outstanding performance, head and shoulders above everyone else, I guess it comes down to voting for favourites and it's clear we all have them.
  8. How much would it cost to buy a defibrillator for the house? I think I need to get hold of one before next Thursday.
  9. Hope the referee didn't run into Gerrard in the tunnel. Actually I hope he did, a change of referee is what this game needs. Important we don't lose composure now, this is a 2 leg tie and we're still in the driving seat.
  10. Midfield makes sense, Jack is unlucky but SG may well want to be able to bring on a strong sub in that area if/when needed (no Zungu). Kent absence makes me wonder if 4-4-2 is an option.
  11. It's the sort of thing I thought was the preserve of the Bheasts from the East
  12. These players didn't just breach their employer's rules on Covid. They're not just stupid, they broke the law. I find this really disappointing but not nearly as disappointing as it will be if Rangers doesn't ask these players to look for new clubs in the summer.
  13. The difference is stark. On the one hand there's Humza Yousaf, embodying every ounce of SNP ethos - tribal bigotry, shallow conceit and low grade ignorance. On the other there's Liam Kerr, a solicitor of repute and intellectual rigour (I ken fine because he was my solicitor). And the one who could no more have written that article than flown to Jupiter sits as Justice Secretary of Scotland. Such is the shithole we now live in.
  14. I know what you mean but I'd rather my reluctantly-paid taxes were put to better use.
  15. I imagine they'll need another negative test in a few days before being passed fit for flogging.
  16. Royal Antwerp 1 Rangers 1 FGS - Morelos
  17. I’m not thinking anything. Only that there’s always the possibility that this party wasn’t the first or only transgression. More importantly, should anything else come to light then the only course of action would be to publicly disclose the fact.
  18. The lengthy silence is making me suspect this investigation is uncovering more than expected. Hope that’s not the case.
  19. No such probs here. All seems normal.
  20. So long as this was the first such "party" they'd been to.
  21. As soon as Neil Lennon took over from Brendan Rogers it was almost guaranteed how this would end. Many of us said so at the time. The only question was how long it would take old popcorn teeth to work his brand of magic. Personally, I'd like to thank him for his predictability and for being the one who destroyed the 10 in a row dream. Horrible bastard that he is.
  22. If anyone is still paying for a TV licence then they're effectively endorsing the bBC and how it operates. Surely no one here is in that category???
  23. I think Cedric Itten will be just fine. I've lost count over the years how many written off duds went on to become heroes we couldn't do without.
  24. It's clearly something that Rangers felt sufficiently serious to formally acknowledge at the earliest possible opportunity. Beyond that, best not to speculate.
  25. I’m fairly sure he’s a Prefer Not To Say
