Surely that fact it was a pie is irrelevant. The real point is about what it could have been ... and might be next time if this is just swept under the carpet. The issue isn't what was thrown but that it was thrown.

It's not many weeks ago that no one wanted Barisic anywhere near a Rangers team and we didn't only start winning games when he got his place back. He's been doing really well lately but let's not lose all sense of proportion. Gerrard will probably play Flanagan on Sunday and he may well do OK. We didn't lose yesterday just because Flanagan was in our defence. Flanagan had a poor game but he wasn't responsible for Tavernier, Goldson and Helander playing like cub scouts.

I do hope that's not a banana

It's clear Gerrard's plans were thrown to the dogs when Barisic got injured and his solution seemed to throw the whole defence and half the midfield off balance. Very worrying.

The one consolation I can think of is that come Sunday evening we may be glad we got that display out of our system at Pittodrie. -

When was the last time he didn't select Goldson and Helander? -
Who stood out? For me it was Goldson, Flanagan and Tavernier .... just not for the right reasons. Almost joining them were McGregor, Helander and Morelos. The other starting five at least get points for trying.

I wondered that too when I saw the team sheet. A fullback who didn't make a single cross into the box and who defends like a compulsive gambler. -

That was a glimpse into the Rangers of last season and it wasn't pleasant to watch. Too many players making far too many unforced errors. The referee didn't deny us two points, we managed that all by ourselves. Inexplicable. He was far from the only culprit but I'd play Halliday before Flanagan on Sunday if Barisic is still unavailable. -

Same riffraff, different brick -
I saw that - looks like a defensive tactic but only insofar as it might drive compensation value.

Arsenal should pay whatever it takes to take Graham Potter from Brighton and guarantee him a minimum of three years.

Good preview for a change. You should do it every week ? Anyone think Katic might replace Helander for this one? -

I have my doubts that making a fuss about it on Gersnet will act as a deterrent against the people who sing these songs - or that failing to do so will serve as encouragement. I've been around Rangers fans for more than half a century. I'm convinced nothing will change the behaviour of these idiots and only their exclusion will help Rangers and the other fans who don't find it difficult to conduct themselves responsibly. Forty years ago they were pissing in bottles and launching them from the back of the stands on to our own fans at the front. Today they measure their worth by how loudly they can bellow obscenities about an enemy that largely doesn't exist. I'm very lucky that I no longer have to live among riff raff, I just wish I had the same choice when I go to watch my team. -

I really can't have you straying into my territory with that tone of post. Calm down and leave immediately. -
It’s both encouraging and confusing that 5 different players were thought to be MOTM, especially considering Arfield and Kent could reasonably make a decent claim but received no votes (so far). Personally, I thought this was one of those games when the MOTM award might easily have been unanimous but it never fails to impress me how many people look at the same thing and see something completely different. ?

I think Kamara will be sold in January. I also think it would be crazy not to accept anything like £8m. It’s where we are as a club and facing our financial reality is the most important precursor of being a successful club. -
Where did that report come from? There’s no link included.

For my part I'm not in any way offended by that banner or the sentiments behind it. However I am thoroughly pissed off by anything or anyone who brings sanctions and disadvantage to Rangers, either knowingly or in ignorance. And let's face it you'd have to be really fucking ignorant to believe displaying that banner anywhere near a UEFA fixture is going to do anything but harm to Rangers. I'd have no hesitation banning them from ever entering Ibrox again, not because I'm offended by them but because they're a liability we can no longer afford to be anywhere near Rangers.
