The criticism of Jack was always bullshit. Some “fans” seem to need a scapegoat. No one deserved his goal more than him. -

Graeme Shinnie is exactly what we need right now. -
Surely nationalists wouldn't be allowed to referee a football match. The game in Scotland is a big enough lottery without bringing known morons into it.

This isn’t about coaches. It’s about players who lack courage and belief. -

When McRorie learns how to pass the ball to a team mate he might become a football player. Until then he’s a waste of space. -

Tavernier, Candeias, Grezda, Halliday, Goldson, Coulibaly, McRorie ... all needing the Uday Hussein half time talk. -

This is utter GARBAGE. Try passing the fucking ball FORWARD -
It's always intrigued me how some players can perform poorly and consistently draw praise and forgiveness from fans, while others can play well and attract dog's abuse and never be appreciated for their contribution. But this is the age of celebrity and sentiment, where as a matter of routine the many sheep among us adopt the last opinion they heard and hold it like an original thought. Perhaps he best example in recent times has been Josh WIndass who earned the same criticism and praise no matter how he played, the difference only being who you happened to listen to. And Andy Halliday goes from "one of our own" to a basket case and back again on a game by game basis. Now Ryan Jack seems to have been singled out as hopeless-going-on-average-going-on-world-beater. Seems it really is all about opinions and the only thing anyone can do is leave the herd and think for yourself.

There have been ample opportunities to make an example of someone but you need to do it on the basis of a personal comment, not when they can hide behind the pockets of the BBC, etc to cover their legal costs. Most of them would defecate on the spot.

Griffiths out of football indefinitely with gambling issues

And he wasn't just a paedophile. He was THEIR paedophile, preying on THEIR youngsters in THEIR back yard and THEY knew about him. Horrible football club. -

I would put money on it ? -
Yes but you’ve been rubbishing Ryan Jack since he joined the club. To change your mind now would look like you were less than consistent. ?

Superb. Excellent news.

Depending on a fullback for creativity, especially one who hasn't created shit for an age, might not be the best structure for success. -

It won't be for money, at least not right away. The attraction of Rangers is as a platform from which to reach for the EPL, which should suitRangers recruitment policy to a tee. -
Nail squarely on the head. I might be tempted to put Jack at the head of that trio but those are the players who earned pass marks.

If you're Steven Gerrard and you know the current squad isn't good enough to win the league, and you know the board doesn't have deep pockets, then you'd be looking to see whether there are any players who you could sell for decent money so you can fill the critical gaps that are staring back at you every week. Steven Gerrard didn't come to Rangers to sit and watch the world go by and if selling Tavernier or anyone else means, on balance, having a more able squad then he will do it. And so he should. -
There no way we will go to Easter Road and not play two defensive midfielders. I expect ... McGregor Tavernier Worral Goldson Barisic Jack McRorie Candeias Arfield Grezda Morelos
-
Barisic seems to be one of the few players we have who are capable of putting in a decent cross.
-
It was noticeable the amount of forward possession that Hamilton had on their left wing after Candeias went off. Jack has the ability to play whatever role the manager asks of him - he played at least three different roles on Saturday and acquitted himself well in each of them. It's clear some people just don't fancy him and won't rate him however well he plays, which is OK but hardly helpful.
-
Motm had to be between Jack and Candeias. Why is Tavernier still taking corners?

Each of the last seven seasons has seen us begin reasonably well then fall away badly. This season is on the cusp of repeating the trend. I never expected us to win the title yet but I would love to see us get to the stage where we gather pace as the season progresses and at least finish more strongly that we started. I hope I'm wrong but the current squad doesn't look any more capable of sustaining a serious challenge than their predecessors and changing that would be the primary focus of my recruitment strategy. If it wasn't already clear that this is going to be a long road then the last few weeks should have helped to show it. -

How is the weather in the Glasgow-Edinburgh corridor this evening - is the snow and freezing rain that was forecast turning into a reality? I'm asking because like many others I'm wondering if there's any point spending several hours in the car trying to get to Ibrox ... and how early I'll need to set off? -

And who decided a few weeks ago that the long ball to a lone front man was worth another try? Even McCoist wouldn't go there again.
