We change every part of our defence except the one part that's crying out for a rest and hasn't put in a decent performance for weeks..

We haven't looked like a team that could get out of this group for a long time.. What we saw last night is what we've seen for weeks. It's not good but it's probably exactly what we should expect after one transfer window. We've done OK and certainly better than last season but we need a reboot and soon.

It has become abundantly clear that our captain needs a rest.

Why is his employer being so coy about specifying what these "ongoing issues" actually are? If it's a confidential matter why bring it into the public glare? If it's gambling then it's hardly going to change the orbit of Saturn. Many people have gambling problems and, regrettable though it is, don't feel compelled to hide behind a wall of contrived mystery.

I hope whoever replaces Daniel Candeias is prepared to give the same amount of effort because I think we are going to miss his work rate in defence.

"We are hopeless from corners." Could that simply be because we're hopeless AT corners? Tavernier has to be the worst corner taker but keeps on taking them. Results from corners could only improve by getting someone to take them who has some idea how to do the job. Seriously, it can't be as difficult as our captain insists on making it.

I'm confused how you sign a player with certainty of success. I've seen us sign flops who've had world cup winner medals in their pocket. As with most things in life, you start out with opinions and only after the event do you acquire facts.

I think the role of captain is overstated but from what I’ve seen this season the only player who seems happy to assert himself to his team mates is Ryan Jack.

Levein is a wind-up merchant. I find him hilarious. It's a mistake to take this seriously. He's just making mischief, taking the piss out of a Scottish football he knows to be absurd and corrupt.

There will always be some reason for idiots running on to the pitch but very few that in any way excuse them. Idiots are idiots. Decisions by officials don't come into it. Anyone who does this should be permanently excluded.

There's a low-level lunacy emerging among less composed elements of the Rangers support. Perhaps it's an emotional reaction stemming from a desperation to release the depression of recent years but running on the pitch is moronic and unnecessary. It has to stop.

I deliberately stayed clear of this topic for 24 hours. It was a sound decision. Think I'll give it another couple of days and see if things calm down a little.

I'll go against the tide on this one (?) and say I like what Levein is doing. I don't agree with him about Sunday's game but I also don't mind him fighting his own corner and if more managers stood up to the SFA there might be fewer corrupt arseholes there today. His reference to Lennon is superb and refusing to pay the fine is even better.
