match thread (image) [FT] Kilmarnock 0 - 0 Rangers
Bill replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Brilliant - think I'll treasure that. -
I wonder what the media reaction will be if Defoe now goes on a goal spree while Morelos is banned? Could they yet end up shooting themselves in the foot?
-
VAR will undoubtedly be used to further consolidate the entrenched bias against Ranger. Like every other "safeguard" in Scottish football, it will only ever be as good or bad as the people who operate it ... and we know for sure what their allegiances will be.

I've complained twice to the BBC and I've no doubt if I did it again I could show you the reply before I sent the complaint. Complete waste of time. If the best Club1872 can do is to say "over to you" .....

BBC poll asking if Morelos is unplayable or unpalatable
Bill replied to Walterbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Much as I only have contempt for the race card, its use in this instance might prove most effective since it's the one thing the BBC would find it impossible to ignore. They'd deny any question of racism of course but in the process would draw much needed attention to their real motives. -
That's not ever going to happen unless there's a coordinating force to act on behalf of the rank and file. Ideally that would be a role grasped with both hands by Club1872 but it seems they're much too busy counting shares for a seat on a board that will always be entirely meaningless.

I doubt if being deprived of my £150.50 will in itself bring the BBC to heel but at least I don't feel like a victim of fraud any more.

You're referring to my post #1439 which (if you look more carefully) wasn't a response to anyone, even to you. It was that seemingly confusing thing ... posting a personal opinion without engaging in a conversation with anyone, even you. Y'know, an original thought. It can be a problem when you think everything is about you. You can even start to think people are being snide. Best try to fight it. ?

We've already been over this, I like this thread and have said repeatedly I always read it. Despite attempts to say otherwise, I've never once criticised 26th for creating this topic. Nor have I ever advised anyone not to enjoy his ongoing contributions. Now that we've been over this even more, perhaps it will be less attractive to try to earn ingratiating points by defending 26th against imagined criticism. For additional clarity, and to go over it yet again, nor am I advising anyone not watch or to listen to the BBC. What I am saying is that, if you do, you shouldn't be surprised at finding it deliberately offensive towards Rangers and Rangers fans. By definition, to express outrage and indignation implies being shocked and surprised. Surely even the slowest among us should have grasped the BBC v Rangers storyline by now and that it's really a rather dull and repetitive soap opera. To any meaningful extent, I can more or less be sure who said what about who without ever tuning in and to what degree Rangers is being demonised and why. Sure, it's good to be aware it's still there as an emblem of low-grade bigotry and who's playing the leading roles but to make a conscious effort to support its audience figures and then continually be outraged by it is being quite ... slow. The posts by 26th are almost always well written and entertaining, that's why I read them. On the other hand, someone making comparisons of wartime Germany is the stuff of playgrounds and hardly rises above silly. Anyway, I thought it was quite obvious I would be Eisenhower in this fantasy. He took a very dim view of socialism to. As for Churchill? Well as far as I'm aware, Churchill was a patriot who didn't decamp to Germany or advocate breaking up the United Kingdom. ?

No it wasn’t. It was a direct and specific reply.

So, what point are you trying to make? I've said clearly enough that I turn to this thread at every opportunity. Try to keep up and try to follow what's being said.
-
Are you suggesting we don't know them?
-
This is one of the first topics I turn to on Rangers Chat, so I guess I have to agree with you, but I would never dream of tuning in to tv/radio sports coverage in Scotland or opening our shit newspapers - and the great thing about life today is I can stay in touch with Rangers affairs and watch every almost game without ever troubling those in the media who so clearly hate us. As you infer, there's a world of difference between being aware of their bigotry and actually justifying them by watching/listening to them.

If you watch or listen to the BBC you deserve the aggravation. It’s like living with snakes, you know they’re full of poison and it’s in their nature to bite. Stay away from snakes and you won’t get bitten.

Scottish FA deal to buy stadium has stalled
Bill replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I'd say there is at least an even chance that Celtic Park will become the de facto home of Scottish football, with Glasgow council and Holyrood co-funding stadium redevelopment and binding themselves to Celtic FC in perpetuity. -

Wouldn't the council just love to move everything to Parkhead and pocket the money for the entire Hampden site. -
Sadly, what clubs will pay for a footballer is hugely influenced by their perception of what the selling club will accept, so to try to value a player in terms of his abilities, age, experience, etc just doesn't work.

I think he's worth whatever someone with £21m to spend on a young Colombian striker in Scotland is willing to pay
