I clearly remember some of my greatest heroes going missing on a routine basis. Davie Cooper was particularly guilty of this. Windass is no Davie Cooper yet and perhaps never will be but I'd like to find out what he can achieve and I'll only do that if he plays regularly.

Of course there's a bloody conspiracy, what the hell do you think has been happening these last 7 or 8 years? The "no conspiracy" theory has been pushed for so long in Scottish media that too many bears now seem to think it's politically incorrect to think anything else.

Celtic own the SFA and SPFL. They own the referees. They own the media from to to bottom. They own local government in Glasgow. They have a fully-developed and fully-funded club structure. Rangers is a toxic brand that's ostracised across the spectrum of public life. We have little or no influence where it matters. We are run by comparative paupers and enjoy essentially a day-to-day financial existence. We have no financial reserves and little income outwith our own gate money. Our club infrastructure is poor and in some cases broken. Beyond a footballing miracle, which tend to be in remarkably short supply, I see almost no chance of challenging Celtic for many years to come and all the hope and optimism in the world isn't going to change the reality of our situation. Only a seismic upswing in our finances and quality of governance can do that.

There's something very wrong about the League's governing body meeting with the supporters of one club to discuss the possibilities for punishing another club. The job of the SPFL is to represent and govern the clubs in its membership. The SPFL should NOT be talking directly to supporters of any of its clubs, except through the clubs themselves. That the SPFL chose to do so is in itself reason for deep suspicion regarding its integrity and impartiality. In my view, the board of Rangers should be issuing a very public complaint to the SPFL and the SFA.

This must be one of the worst diseases to afflict humanity. Best wishes to Jimmy Calderwood, a great character.

I've always hated the term "legend". It's at the same time meaningless and almost always misused. No one can agree on what it means or who it should be applied to. I cringe whenever I hear a player or manager being called a "Rangers legend".

I think there's every chance.

It's possible the main beneficiary of John Beaton's prejudiced refereeing may yet be Pedro Caixinha. Many a manager has built success on a platform of siege mentality. Anyway, I hope so.

If I'm honest, I would never know what is being printed in that newspaper if it wasn't reproduced on social media and forums such as this. I don't want to read it, I don't enjoy reading it and I always wish I hadn't read it. So if arsewipes like Keith Jackson annoy you, it's your own fault for spreading his particular brand of mindless trash. Please don't buy the Daily Record or give them hits on their website - and please don't copy and spread his drivel. Let him rot in obscurity.

I'll go further and say that cheating has been endemic in Scottish refereeing since the Hugh Dallas debacle. Referees who make a mistake in Rangers favour will be severely pressurised and will go out of their way to show their "compliance" by taking decisions that disadvantage Rangers. Can I prove it, of course not. Does that mean it doesn't exist, nope.

Feel free to calm down and do enjoy your rational moralising. For me, some of the refereeing went well beyond incompetence and can only be explained by a desire to disadvantage Rangers. I no longer buy the ridiculous proposition that cheating doesn't permeate every corner of Scottish football.

It's not difficult to think of alternative tactics after having a player sent off and going 2-1 down. However, I have some sympathies for a manager who at least at half time, still harboured an intention to win the game. As always, hindsight makes wonderful decision makers. It wouldn't be the first time an apparent injustice went on to draw players together. The next game or two will show us if this group of players has character or not. Edit: That wasn't refereeing, it was rank incompetence.

When they call you a hun, they're saying you're no better than the shit they scrape off their shoe. Make no mistake, their intention is to demean you as protestant filth. How you react is your business but don't pretend that this is anything but a vile sectarian insult.
