Still nine days and another friendly until we play a competitive match. If we look as disjointed after 30+ minutes at Rugby Park, then I'll start getting a bit concerned.

I can never understand people taking pre-season friendlies so seriously. It's just a glorified work out.

I think we've seen enough of Sakala to form an opinion on him. There are good and bad points - he's a decent squad player but I'd be hoping for better players in our regular starting XI.

We needed upgrades all over the pitch and we're in the process of doing that. Beale's not daft.

Danilo seems to be quite highly thought of. I don't watch Dutch football but he must be decent at that price. Hopefully we can still afford to improve the defence a bit.

I was in CF1 today and that drum and the UB songs generally got on my tits a bit. It's like modern music - no tune and the rhythm is dull. Ach well, I'm getting auld. We had the best songbook in the world but its getting lost amongst the monotonous dross.
