We could force their hand with a Miller link, but why sign someone who could be "barred" from football for the forseeable future. No need to gamble with our money, Goodwillie's still very young. Miller? If he's fit and ready, why not give the "Scourge of Celtic" another try? He sure knows how to put the SPL teams to the score. Fitness and injury are the main concerns here. (I do believe that he will gladly sign up for a couple of years at 15 to 20k a week.) A lot of quote up in the article, found that bit about 6 or 7 people being considered quite interesting a read. I am in agreement with you mate about not signing Goodwillie until the case is dropped I just feel this is a timely reminder to United that we won't haggle for ever either get real or we will move on. I am not against Miller coming back either I felt him and Jelavic would have been a good partnership if both had been fit at same time just feel if we do go down the route of bringing him back would need to be right deal no more than what they paid for him and on our wage terms not his Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Someone uttered that we looked at him (because he's a freebie) and as soon as he's signed for someone else, it is US who lost out. There are a dozen odd reasons why people sign for this team or that. It could well be that half of Europe were after him and they also lost out to Palace. How would we know? Ally himself said he wanted Jedinak - he said it on camera at Glasgow Airport but wasn't hopeful of bringing him here - said our chances were less than 50-50. I don't agree with what's being said, whether it's by you or anyone else. In fact, I'm seeing plenty of posts from others slagging off our defence and saying it's a 'nightmare'. Ally hasn't talked to him or Bursa just yet, but is working all week on various transfers (it seems). I can see using Miller - who he may not rule out either - to get the press haring off to to Turkey et al for info, while he can concentrate on the issues at hand. The Gers are thought to have offered �£400,000 for Rodriguez as they look to lure the 23-year-old to Ibrox. McCoist is waiting to hear back from Espanyol on the offer and he admits he is planning further bids for more defensive reinforcements. Rodriguez only broke into the Espanyol side last season but the Gers gaffer is convinced he can be a success at Ibrox. "A bid has gone into Espanyol but we haven't heard anything back from them yet," McCoist told the Daily Record. "We need cover and hopefully Rodriguez would give us that. I'd hope he could go straight into our team but we'd need to have a look at him first. "That's the only bid we have in at the moment but there will be more during the next 24 hours. "I'll know in the next couple of days whether we've been successful with other targets but we're hopeful. It's safe to say Rodriguez won't be the last defender we go for." Backing Rangers have made only one new signing this summer in the shape of Juan Manuel Ortiz, but McCoist insists he will be backed by owner Craig Whyte in the transfer market this summer. "I'm absolutely getting the backing. There's no doubt about that and there's not a problem there," added McCoist.
