Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020

Recommended Posts

As it stands our first choice front three is McKay, Miller and Waghorn with Forrester, Clark and it seems King deputising.

Yes we want higher quality players in but if we can't sign them now, we can't sign them. Ergo, we opt for short term deals until we can.

Knickers untwisted.

I actually don't mind if we get some additional wingers in who can deputise for McKay on the wing. As long as this means he can move to a more central role like he did on Monday and where, IIRC, his referred position is. The role of the play-making attacker.

Regarding King ... his stats from last season show that he played 33 games as a winger, scored 9 goals and assisted another 15.

waggy in the middle, McKay on the left, King on the right I would think is the plan

We seem to be making sensible signings this January window. The reality is that we can win this league with our current squad so there is no point in signing new players unless they are going to make a contribution next season. Actually I'm quite enjoying the caution and care we're showing this window!

We are only 9 points better off than this point last year.

We have faced one top tier side and were well beat. Don't know what you are basing being able to fair better in play offs on. Kilmarnock just beaten 5-1 by Dundee utd should in that case be easily beaten as we did last time

Our style has improved on the eye but the substance hasn't dramatically changed.

We still look like we might face a play-off depending on injuries and if we can find a consistent rich vein of form. We are not exactly running away with it. The league is a poor standard weaker than last year with hearts gone yet we are still fighting to win it

Hopefully we can beat Falkirk this time around and push on. Another loss like last time and we have a fight on our hands

If ever there was a post to prove a "glass half empty" attitude it is this.

"Look like we might face a play-off". Fook me. We are top by 5 points and our nearest challengers need help from others. Yet we "look like we might need a play off".

Where to start......
