The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Recommended Posts

No doubt BH, what a line up though! Thinking about it, and taking nothing for granted, would that line up be worth a start in the Betfred QF?? Have a proper go at QOTS at Ibrox.

I've gone off topic, apologies.

Right now (sic!) I wouldn't mind starting with Rossiter and Barton in midfield, and someone like McKay, Forrester, Holt, Windass or Halliday alongside them and Kranjcar coming on later in the game. I would switch between McKay and Forrester for the left attacking slot, pending on the opposition. That said, McKay was given the No. 10 for a reason and IMHO that reason is not "left winger". Thus I'd place McKay in midfield in front of Rossiter and Barton, Forrester on the left wing.

PRESTON insist they won't stand in Joe Garner's way after revealing he made it clear he wants to sign for Rangers.

The Lilywhites and the Ibrox club are currently negotiating a transfer fee for the striker.

The 28-year-old will be allowed to join Gers when an agreement with the Championship club is reached.

A Preston statement read: "On both Sunday and Monday discussions were held with Joe with regard to this situation.

"Joe has made it clear that the financial considerations in making this move would mean that he would want to leave.

"Assuming a final agreement can be reached with regard to a transfer fee we would not want to stand in the way of a player who no longer wished to remain with us.

"If Joe leaves, he goes with our very best wishes for what he has done in his time here."

The former Carlisle and Nottingham Forest hitman bagged 27 goals for the Deepdale side to help them gain promotion from League One two years ago.

He netted six times in 44 games last season.
