Dorrans can't get a game for Scotland. He is being kept out by the likes of Brown and Armstrong. £1.5m seems like a lot of money for this type of player.

Carlos Pena set for Rangers talks as Mexican international jets into Glasgow

 

Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha wants the 27-year-old to bolster his midfield and the Chivas player is expected to be offered a three-year deal at Ibrox.

 

Carlos Pena is on his way to Glasgow for talks with Rangers.

 

The Mexican World Cup star is wanted by Pedro Caixinha and negotiations have taken place with the player's club Chivas.

 

Pena will be offered a three-year contract with a deal struck for him to leave his loan club Leon.

 

The 27-year-old is keen for a career in the United Kingdom and sources in Mexico have told Record Sport this morning that Pena is making the trip to try and finalise the deal at Ibrox.

Very true - and I understand Dorrans has an agreement with Strachan that he doesn't get called up unless he is going to start. (Family reasons)

 

Maybe he can rediscover his best form here.

Him and Jack seem to be similar signings as Ian Ferguson and Stuart McCall once were. Solid Scottish pros with a decent amount of ability.

Central midfielder.

 

Started his career more as an attacking midfielder but now sits a little further back but I wouldn't go as far as to call him a defensive midfielder. Solid consistent passing %, decent in the air for a midfielder, creates a lot of chances and likes to get stuck in
