  1. Just need to move Kamara on now if we get 2-4 million and get him off the wage bill we have done well.

  2. One hell of a final day in the Belgian league ends with Genk as runners up and with a CL play off spot. USG were sitting pretty for top spot at 1-0 until the 89th minute, then caved in and conceded 3. That left Genk at the top until Antwerp equalised on 90+4 and took the title. The Belgian FA are going to be bankrupted by the helicopter fuel bill!

  3. He doesn't look like a manager to me. Maybe I'm not seeing all of him but he seems to have too passive a personality to deliver the leadership required.

  7. I think we would do ok in the SPL. He has had some decent numbers over the last three seasons. But 8.5+ is a bit steep.

  8. Why be sure about that? Best thing is for him to go elsewhere and demonstrate that he is good enough.

  9. My priority would be to move him off the payroll by selling him. Otherwise, yes.

  10. Since we paid some €55k for him, that should be possible.

  12. Too many programs? Delete unnecessary ones and old unused files. Also clear cache regularly.

  13. Don't know why Davis can't be groomed for an eventual coaching role at Ibrox. Surely a future manager?

  14. I wasn't suggesting we sign him, merely answering a question

  15. I got my MyGers welcome pack through the door this morning. It comes with a nice picture frame for my picture of Josh Windass, which sits on my bedside table.

  16. Here on Gersnet, we have replicated events of Autumn 1976. After the Treble winning season of 1975-'76, the Rangers support looked forward enormously to season 1976-'77. We had a temporary problem at centre back and Jock Wallace contacted his old Army buddy and Southampton Gaffer, Laurie McMenemy for a solution? The Saints had just won the FA Cup with a Scot at centre half, Jim Steele. Edinburgh born'n'bred, he had made his name at Dundee along side other wonderful names, Ian Philip, John Duncan, Jocky Scott, Gordon Wallace, ....... etc. We signed BIG Jim on loan for a month and, he played all six games. His English earned reputation as a real hard man of the game proceeded him. Remember, this was the English football of Chopper Harris and Jack Charlton. Jim was cautioned in everyone of those five games where we won one, drew four and, lost one. We went from Treble Champions to poor also rans. I was a member of two RSCs, one was reasonably near to home , Tannochside Loyal; the other was because attending University meant living in the west end, Partick Loyal. I attended both clubs end of season Player of the Year dance and the winner at both(and at least another dozen) was Jim Steele because he cared for the jersey, staunchly booked in every match - real commitment. Malik Tillman and Jim Steele, one of a kind. Those other names from that Dundee side, I loved John Duncan, went to Spurs and became top scorer. My pick was Ian Philip, he could play anywhere in defence. He had a season at Crystal Palace in the old First Division, played every game and won the Club's Player of the Year. He returned to Dundee after a season because of homesickness. I would have loved to have seen Ian in Rangers blue.

  17. Well, mebbes aye, mebbes naw... I am told, from close, and closed, sources that there will be two 'marquee' loan signings (there is a first time for everything, clearly): Fred from Man Utd, and Said Benrahma from West Ham. These deals will enable Michael Beale to field: Wright Said Fred next season.
