Forget the so-called "narrative". We don't create enough chances and don't have enough goal threat throughout the team. Across the city, they score far more goals but have many different players who score them. League goals (10 games) Rangers: 15 Celtic: 29 Aberdeen: 24 (11 games) The outlier was the 6 goals against Ross County. We push the Dessers 'narrative' in our own message boards.

It would be the ultimate test for him. No money, minor league, winter trips to Dingwall, no media interest in what he is doing (especially BBC Scotland). But is he man enough to take it?

I think he relies a lot on having players like De Bruyne, Rodri and Silva. Tactically, I don't think he's some sort of mastermind - at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and at City he's had the best players in the league.

Slight consolation is Hearts also played on Thursday but didn't have the "travel". Just never know what you're going to get with Rangers these days (well 1 good half and 1 bad seems to be the only constant). Remembrance Day so opportunity to honour the real heroes. 🙏

We've scored 16 league goals, 6 of those against Ross County. Put that into perspective, that's the same amount as St Johnstone.

Another dreary, predictable performance. Three points is always the main aim but we seem utterly incapable of putting pressure on the opposition for sustained periods. As others have said, the subs were questionable too. I don't think that bloody drum helps either. The monotonous nature of it just adds to the unappealing lack of variety on show.

Not long in from game first half reasonable but WTF was that second half about horrendous. Noticed tonight the time clock does not stop on 45/90 minutes.

An utterly brutal performance today with only Raskin and Jefte get pass parks for me.

Apart from the goalie, we could have used all players on the bench from the start and would have been better off. We rarely lose against Hearts, but today was far too close for comfort. Had they got a draw, it would have been well deserved. Shocking team selection, shocking line-up, shocking display. Grab them three points and run! Hope not too many servicemen had the displeasure to see this.

Poor game. Almost as if both teams were playing big games in Europe on Thursday.

We really are a very poor football team.

Tav off finally, another non performance

Hagi on Diomande has done nothing at all first half.

Any reason we cannot remove Diomande for an actual attacker, preferably a striker? He contributes next to nothing in that role ...

Was looking forward to a Rangers game for the first time in ages with the thought of Sterling or Nana playing again. Physicality. Pace. Being able to bloody defend. Now my bubble of hope is burst. Why oh why Phil? Playing Tav is going to get you sacked. Sterling must be raging.

Sad to hear of the untimely passing of Lex Shields the other day. Lex was a great wee player for Bo'ness United and starred in their last Junior Cup victory against Ballieston at Ibrox in 1984. Lex was granted a testimonial by Bo'ness and Rangers supplied the opposition and brought a decent team to Newtown Park including the late, great Davie Cooper. Rest easy Lex.

There's very little evidence for that argument to be challenged, IMO - other than the fact he won the third division with Barca B which is not a lot to go on. I think the fact his philosophy has influenced most current coaches in world football suggest he is a tactical genius, but then again, so is Bielsa and he's won very little. He should test your hypothesis be joining The Famous.
