  1. That's what's so crazy about the statement. Our board have set the agenda.

  2. So what? Seriously, a banner made reference to our biggest rivals who we were playing that day. Why is it such a big issue? Should we also ban every song that mentions them? We've had all sorts of tifo. Should we really just restrict ourselves to ones that feature our players and staff? Are we that lacking in imagination?

  3. Change the venue to celtic park, the face to lennon’s, the weapon to an Armalite and the text to “Orange scum” and it will still be ok? We made plenty of noise about the hanging effigies and their Flags of War banner.

  4. A disappointing response on the banner. They should have the balls to not say anything on it.

  5. I don't think that hating Jews, because they are Jews, puts them on the right side of anything, far less history.

  6. ...declared the banner to be 'unacceptable'. He did not, of course, explain what was 'unacceptable' about it. He really is a mealy mouthed sack of shit.

  7. Genuinely baffled by it all. The same nutters out there that are saying Kneecap should be able to play Glastonbury etc after saying "kill MPs" and "up Hamas" are condemning us for this play on words banner in a football rivalry. I can only laugh at the madness of it all. That lot have put up far worse TIFOs and banners etc and the police have never came and bundled it away into a van the day after 😂 it's fucking absurd.

  8. The pantie wetting over this is beyond mental. A photo of a legendary player/manager and a play on Star Wars on May the 4th. As for the response of the CEO, deary me that does not bode well.

  9. That’s an awful easy question, Rab.

  10. Yet was sullied by a reference to them.

  11. I didn't see the game but now reading about the fallout etc. With regards to the banner, as much as the faux outrage is to be expected by that lot and their merry band of media puppets, I'm just disappointed that they are even referred to at all. Tifos of that nature obviously take a lot planning, time and effort but why refer to them at all? Its exactly what they and their acolytes want. We have a rich history of amazing players, managers and success. Can we not celebrate that without having to sully all your hard work by aiming at them? With regards to the current board getting it in the neck, I'm pretty sure an imminent takeover by an international consortium is having an influence on how they want to operate. We are on the verge of a deal that will undoubtedly change our on and off the field fortunes and at long last propel us into the 21st century as a modern sporting organisation. This is not the time for the current incumbents to start making waves with statements IMO. Lastly...for the idiots who threw a glass bottle onto the pitch. F**k off and don't come back.

  12. What's not to like. The dream anti-hipster team. Shouting, vibes and clichés.

  13. Up a wee narrow close, just by Brigton Cross...probably my favourite song when we play them. As for the banner, the only thing wrong was it should have said paedo instead of 'rebel'. They're not rebels any more, they're the establishment in modern Scotland, sadly.

  16. Patrick Stewart caused some mess, and he has to accept responsibility. Some sources mentioning to me that Stewart was apparently told by people within the club not to go ahead with yesterday's statement and did anyway. Since being appointed he has done nothing but commit to a full on war with the clubs own supporters, and yesterday caused a media PR frenzy by apologising for a banner and causing a pile on that even got to national news, a banner that has since been deemed not to be criminal or hateful of anything. For comparison, a celtic supporter was sacked from his work after being identified mocking the 66 of the Ibrox disaster at the stadium yesterday, and celtic have declined to comment on the matter! Climb down and fuck off Patrick, before the support turn on you.

  17. Even 'rebel scum' aren't offended, it would seem. So who in Poileas Alba, the Crown Office, or the SNP Politburo sobered up? "HH", I assume, as always, means 'Heil Hitler', which I, and many others, find offensive.

  18. Not just the board tbh. The media and Police too. Like they've actually came to Ibrox to bundle banners into a van and take them away for evidence 😂 what crime are they even investigating? Going to charge about 15,000 people with public order offences? It's overreaching madness.

  20. If we bloody mention them in anything we do, we are lacking in imagination. Ignore them.

  21. Agreed. We need to box clever and try to control and push the narrative they don't want to hear. We always seem to shoot ourselves in the foot.

  22. If they were singing about the disaster then maybe someone should have recorded it; that is truly offensive, worse than calling someone scum.

  23. The pretend tit for tat offence/outrage is all a bit pathetic from both sides and only makes it easier for the authorities to clamp down with ever more draconian measures against free speech in general.

  25. Yes. They think of themselves as 'rebels', which, really, they are not. They don't think of themselves as paedophiles, which, really, they are. (They practice child abuse, directly, by ignoring it condone it, or, by concealing it, are complicit in it.)

  26. Still fuming at the fucking audacity of the board tbh. Their scummy fans were mocking the Ibrox disaster today, and we're apologising for a banner at them. Rotten.

  27. Igamane has 15 goals as well. Out of all 9 players to have scored over 10 league goals this season, Dessers has the lowest minutes on the field per goal scored, 133. If we don't get a decent offer for him then we might be better keeping a hold of him. So many forwards have passed through Rangers and barely scored a handful of goals. 47 goals in 2 seasons aren't to be dismissed. Especially when you are talking about a player who gives everything and is almost always available. Don't think we'll be spending an amount of money that will get a real quality forward. Possibly more likely via a loan.

  29. Said it earlier in this thread , the shitebags in the board score another own goal. We really do deserve everything we get.

  30. I sense, somehow, that Mr Cavenagh does not seek, nor need, the comfort of cosplay; that he neither seeks, nor needs, the comfort of victimhood; and that imposter syndrome does not trouble him in those long Winter nights. I should not, then, expect a masquerade. May the Fourth be with you. You're welcome.

  31. That's crazy. There's so many photos of it. Why do they need to seize something that will never be used again? It's obviously politically motivated as they've never done it to any of their (far worse) banners.
