  1. Both parties making all the right noises and at last, looks like we may have a Commercial Department that will enhance our brand. Also great news that investment will be made available for redevelopment of the mega-store. Will be fantastic to have this back.

  2. Sorry to be doom and gloom but neither of these two players will improve us sufficiently.

  3. Seems to me that every year there's a new kit or supplier it's greeted with a tsunami of negativity from the many experts in sportswear and merchandising we're lucky to have among us. Were it not for the benefit of these opinions, some of us might make the mistake of welcoming a new commercial partner or even liking the product.

  4. The Founders Plaque, marking the spot where our Club was born, was unveiled in the Glasgow Green Football Centre in September 2009,we were honoured to be joined by Heather Lang the Grand-daughter of Founder Peter McNeil and the late great Sandy Jardine A couple of weeks before the event the club gave me contact details for Rangers legends Johnny Hubbard and Billy Simpson to invite them along, so i very nervously rang both men. Unfortunately Mr Hubbard couldn’t attend as he was going to be away on holiday, Mr Simpson said he would check if he had anything on and then asked for my address which I thought was maybe his way of checking if this was genuine so I of course duly obliged.A few days later I was stunned to receive a letter from Billy, he sadly couldn’t attend the unveiling event but this Rangers great and gentleman had actually taken the time to write to tell us. A couple of years later I had the pleasure of meeting Billy Simpson and got the opportunity to thank him for his letter,he again apologised and wished the Founders Project every success in the future. Billy Simpson was a Belfast boy who joined Rangers from Linfield in 1950 for £11,500. He spent nine years at our Club and scored an incredible 163 goals in 239 appearances, winning three league titles and a Scottish Cup. He was capped for Northern Ireland on twelve occasions scoring five goals. He was still attending Ibrox later in life supporting his beloved Rangers. Sadly Billy Simpson passed in Glasgow in 2017 but us supporters celebrate him every week when we sing that wonderful song I Took a Trip to Ibrox. Oh play up the Glasgow Rangers, Sammy Cox is on the ball, He slips it through to Willy Woodburn And on to Ian McColl. Ian McColl to Billy Simpson, Oh here come the boys in blue. Simpson beats the Celtic center half And in goes number 2. Now the Rangers fans are roaring As Geordie Young he takes a free. Onto the head of Billy Simpson And in goes number 3. 3:1 to the Glasgow Rangers And that was the final score, A happy new year at Ibrox park For Rangers beat the Celtic once more, A happy new year at Ibrox park For Rangers beat the Celtic once more. That hand written letter from Billy Simpson will be framed this week and treasured forever.

  5. Again agree. Could be a kit version of Setanta. Are they not both Scoucers? Any of them go to school with Gerrard? What was the link between them and Rangers? Its a gamble at a stage where we shouldnt be taking gambles. We should have went for the tried and trusted (Adidas).

  6. Maybe Andy Murray can talk Maria Sharapova or Ana Ivanovic into modelling our new strip. ?

  7. Sorry to keep going on, But .. Come on, "Castore have deliberately selected Rangers as their flagship club". Of course we are, we are their only club.. talk of 4 or 5 teams is probably going off the hope they are successful with us. Simple. There website also sells basic looking Castore hoodies for 200 quid, fuck my life

  8. Personally I couldn't give a toss about announcements I would be happy with a team that plays good football and wins the league .

  9. What a joke Scotland has become. This is what happens when yahoos run the show (and I'm not just talking about football).

  10. Hope we keep announcing things in this way so the tabloids don't get any "exclusives" as they call them.

  11. I admit to being a little grouchy this morning. I kinda agree with you Ian that the proof will be in the pudding. Sorry for starting a thread of our new supplier (and bullshit as kindly put) , but we nothing better to do than nit pick a shitty 7am marketing ploy. The jury will be back at concept and pricing time... (My guess, they will go with orange somewhere a fan appease and 70 quid a strip)

  12. On the surface it seems we have the best deal available, and when you watch the video and listen to the talk it does seem exciting, however as always the proof is in the pudding. What exactly happened with the Ashley deal? I can't remember!!. Also the Hummel deal? I think my brain is letting me down ?

  13. Lets face it any deal without that fat git Ashley is to be welcomed.

  14. After post the other day I looked at Hamburgs and Schalkes stadiums. When there was the discussion about Ibrox being revamped then these two are the ones we should "copy". Especially Schalke. 62000 but deep close stands. Obviously we are a million miles away from that now and we cant do anything to a listed building in the main stand but the other 3 could be similar. One thing I like about Schalke stadium is the front row is a good 10 feet about pitch level. Ive never thought being pitch level gives you a good view (hence Walter Smith probably didnt either the amout of time he sat in the stand). I sat in the East enclosure front row once (McLeish last game) and could barely see what was going on. An Elevated position is far better. - Sorry just went off topice a touch.

  15. I wonder if Castore will be designing my new proposed Bar'72 Lanyard? We are the loyal the Lanyard Loyal we sit quietly heads wrapped in foil.

  16. Sorry, didn't see the video yet, will watch it. Obviously i take it with a pinch of salt tho when they worded it like this. This says to me, its better than what we had since we had ashley, which wasnt exactly much was it. Clever use of the word recent if you ask me.. "The multi-year partnership stands as one of the most valuable commercial partnerships in the club’s recent history"

  22. Im grouchy in the mornings anyway. But thought we may get to see the bloody things. Plus what exactly did they announce? The two Castore founder brothers just giving us empty words. Why do that shit at 7am on Sunday.. There words made me cringe. 4 year old British outfit had the financial clout to take on Nike and Adidas. (Aye okkkkkk)

  23. The email from Castore isn't the actual launch. Not sure what you expect from an announcement about a kit partnership, to be honest - it's never going to be anything out of the ordinary.

  24. Really disappointed in this.. Like some shit joke.. Blah. Wish i had stayed asleep. Not even a glimpse at the strip, a pure selling mission for Castore (who?). The only surprising thing for me is they havnt quite yet worked out how they can just add the strips to the continuous credit card scheme

  25. Yeah it was very flat and sounded like a 5 a side game when you hear the shots etc. But still way better then no games at all. They could go down the vintage and legendary Mega Drive Sensible Soccer route and have fan noise in the background. Dortmund are a good side and I hope Union Berlin get something today from bayern so the title race makes it interesting.

  27. mdingwall Administrator Today at 12:45 PM #1 Since Leslie Deans interview on Sportsound last Saturday then I have been In regular contact with Les. Les contacted me personally this morning via telephone and asked me to post his official letter to our chairman outlining his views on court action on his behalf. Can everyone please share this on all social media platforms to spread his word as his request? many thanks SJ I have copied and pasted his views verbatim and have removed his personal email address for obvious reasons. As follows:- In my opinion, There are a minimum of 3 grounds which would entitle Hearts, Partick Thistle, Stranraer and perhaps Rangers, to institute civil court proceedings against SPFL and the clubs who voted to expel the first 3 clubs. Firstly, the clubs formed a common purpose. In the case of the premiership , that was to play 38 games against each other with club 12 to be relegated after these games were played. A common purpose creates a duty of care to each other. The actions of certain other members breach that duty. Additionally the SPFL must act in the best interest of all member clubs and I believe they have failed to do so. Their actions and conduct are set out in the dossier prepared by Rangers. The excuse given for abandoning the current campaign is that they want to start a new campaign, excluding Hearts from the Premiership. The chairman of SPFL has stated he hopes this can happen by July. By committing to a new campaign with a different membership , before the existing campaign is complete , a breach of duty occurs. Secondly, there was material non disclosure by SPFL in their briefing pack to clubs on April 8. As I understand it, no reference was made to the potential rebate claim by broadcasters if the league was called early. Additionally no other options than early termination were presented to clubs who were told this was the only feasible option. It was not. By their actions and omissions SPFL did not act in the best interest of all clubs. Thirdly, the SPFL motion was not passed. Dundee FC were not legally entitled to change their vote after it was cast. The motion failed and no further motion has been put to the clubs. SPFL are acting illegally. The pursuers only need to convince the court on any one of these 3 grounds to win the case. If so, the following remedies should be sought 1- Interdict against SPFL starting a new campaign until the current one is finished, whenever that might be. 2- damages for actual and potential financial loss stemming from their expulsion. 3- the expenses of litigation. Yours Faithfully Leslie Deans
