  1. Not that I agree or disagree with those particluar banners, but there are significant errors being made at the club. Fans have a right to voice their opinion. If the club do not like criticism then they need to do better and leave no room for it.

  2. I like Kent but I just want him to be more effective. I don't think he can, that's the problem. I am leaning towards replacing him.

  3. It depends at what cost for me. 25k a week for 3 years and yes I’d resign. Anything north of that and I’ll be happy to let him go. I don’t think he has improved much since he joined and has little chance of being sold on if he does renew.

  4. I think it’s far far too early to say if the Beale appointment was lazy. In fact, I’d say aside from the cup final defeat, he’s done a decent job turning round the squad. Mistakes have been made, and there is much to improve, but a lot of criticism is because Celtic have been relentless, rather than because we’ve been poor.

  5. Eazy peazy this week....Cantwell.

  6. Does anyone know how Ross Wilson performed in his previous DoF roles? Presumably he must have some kind of achievements under his belt before we hired him. What I'm hinting at is the possibility he's actually a very convenient whipping boy for certain others who are content to hide behind him while at the same time constraining his ability to succeed.

  7. I wonder what revenue is derived from the women’s operation. If there’s any sort of deficit, it’s not worth having. Everything the club does should be in support of the first eleven.

  8. Kent in the second half yesterday was a great example of how he slows us and our play down at times. Constrast with Raskin who is a head up move forward football. If there is space he will run into it. If there is a forward pass he will play it.

  9. I still can't get my head around Beale's decision in an all-or-nothing cup final to leave out the two players he specifically signed to strengthen a midfield he's been standing on the touchline watching underperform week after week. If only Beale had come out after the game and said "Guys, I fucked up, I made a huge mistake and I'm sorry" then I could start to lose this gnawing suspicion that we're still on the same old rollercoaster to nowhere.

  10. The stuff about Raskin wasn’t meant as a direct comparison between the two, just a small scale example of a player being more direct. What you’ve posted is about Raskin yesterday is fine by me and mirrors what I saw. But I still believe Kent could be more direct and hurt teams more. He tends to dwell to much on the ball and hold play up. In an way it’s a style that’s really effective for us in Europe at times, but I think holds us back domestically.

  11. Cantwell by the length of Sauchiehall Street. Leaving him and Raskin out last week is the worst decision by a Rangers manager since Murty thought a headstand was a good look.

  15. In the league mistakes may not cost you the title, In a cup game they usually do. MB was the guy who spoke about signings not being squad fillers, legs in midfield etc.

  17. The Balanced Jum Spence? Yesterday's Off the Ball had the resigned Rectum of Dundee University, Jum Spence as special guest. Yep, the Journo who was allowed to resign twice from BBC Scotland because he could NOT bring an objective approach to dealing with Rangers and Rangers supporters; is once again invited on to the PQ airwaves to proffer his preferred prejudice. Further, it is important to remember Jum eats the biled ham raw. Just before the start of this season, Jum Tweeted more of his omnipotence. He sought to reassure his fellow Dundee United fans(no laughing at the back) that all was well in the clootie world. He told of leaving Sunday morning mass and meeting both the Tangerines owner, Mark Ogren and Chief Executive, Tony Asghar. He laid any jitters to mind - they attended mass and Jum felt the club was in good hands and would perform well. On being asked yesterday as to the state of Tannadice things now, he took another bite of that raw biled ham; "You know ah said to both Mark and Tony at the start of the season, Scotland is a hard presbyterian country. Somewhere down the line you can expect some grief, they love to sink the boot in". Jum, in terms of sinking the boot in; may I draw your attention to St Bartholomew's Day 1572.

  20. It's been a hard week for Sellik supporting Gary McKeown. His team deservedly won the League Cup last Sunday and he has had to wait a week to slide his stiletto. In saying the above, the point he makes is mostly sound.

  21. I only read half of the first paragraph but it was a valuable exercise because I can now identify the targets of wrath. I’d thought they looked a bit like Davie Wilson and Archie Knox and wondered what they’d ever done to offend.

  24. I don't but having watched them a few times this season, it's another part of the club that is regressing rapidly. Watched the 1st half today and its been woeful.

  25. On the other hand, it was Raskin who disappeared from sight as the second half went on. Raskin is a big step up from the likes of Kamara but I suggest it will be a few weeks before he's giving a good 90 minutes.
