  1. Slightly off topic but Kemar Roofe started and scored in B Teams 5-3 with over Dundee B this afternoon. Played first 45mins than replaced at half-time (pre-planned before anyone gets their knickers in a twist). Zac Lovelace also started the game as he continues his comeback from injury.

  2. Laying Siege to Mentality? Thirty minutes after Sellik securing a 1-3 victory yesterday at Fir Park, Brenda appears to conduct the post match interview with BBC Scotland's Jane Lewis. The 53 year old experienced PQ Staffer began, "The victory ensures the title race continues"? Brenda : "In terms of the title race, the story has already been written about this group but, we will write our own story" Jane Lewis : "Can you elaborate on that"? Brenda : "No, no you know exactly what I mean". Jane Lewis : "It's quite cryptic, can you explain"? Brenda wound up the interview by concluding : "Done, good girl, well done". Jane Lewis handed back to Richard Gordon in the studio and he said, "oh, oh well" and, than laughed. It was a surprising reaction from ra Sellik Gaffer to a reasonable line of questioning. It sounded as if Brenda had rehearsed(a la john Leslie in front of a mirror) his reply whatever the question. Why he ran for the comfort of condescension in his guillotining of the interview is even more damning but, quite illuminating. Of course, in the nature of any hint of negativity enveloping all things Sellik, the immediate action is vicTIMhood. Jane Lewis was being mercilessly trolled last night on social media, she is a bitter 'Well fan, exercising her long running agenda with Celtic, .......... etc. Ms Lewis did exercise her thirty-odd years of experience by insisting she was not fazed at all by his comment, "just for the record, I am not rattled, hurting, bitter or, deflated". Jane should be worried about her employer, PQ's initial reaction was Brenda had made a James Hunt of it, embarrassed himself and the club by adopting such a misogynistic, patronising line. An hour later, the wagons had been circled and the website declared, 'Celtic will write own story says defiant Rodgers'. The establishment broadcaster abandoned the sensitivity of it's reporter and got right behind the establishment football club. Both PQ and Sellik are refusing to comment on the interview. Concurrently, two days after it had been broadcast at half time on Friday evening's live coverage of the Thistle - Dunfermline live match; PQ has stuck Tom English's Auchenhowie conducted interview with Jack Butland(see immediately above) on it's website. Again, the PQ Producers, Directors and, Editors are laying siege to mentality when it suits them.

  4. Despite having over 2 months to organise, it seems the Rangers Travel Partner has yet again been unable to provide a travel option for Rangers fans. It was announced today there will be no official flight to Lisbon for Rangers supporters to go and see the game. Sport Options, catering for all 5 remaining UK participants in the two Thursday Cups, have yet again managed to put on a flight at a reasonable price. Unfortunately for me, they (rightly) gave fans who travelled with them earlier in the season first dibs and the flight was filled within 15 minutes with hundreds more missing out. It is completely unacceptable for the club to align with a travel partner who cannot provide travel. I understand the last partner got binned for the very same reason but this new one seems equally incompetent. For fans who don’t want to spend 3 days in various airports zigzagging across Europe to get to the game the day trip or 1 night direct option is the only option, and while it is usually much more expensive that is the trade-off and you can make that choice. The club is normally not shy in making a buck out of the fans, and I can only imagine this scenario is costing the club money too. In 2008 the Nithsdale Loyal RSC booked and ran a 240 seater plane at very little notice to Lisbon for our quarter final tie v Sporting en route to Manchester. It was our second charter of the season following another full flight to Barcelona for our CL game the previous autumn. Surely if a supporters club can arrange, administer and run a flight then these travel partners should be able to provide the same?

  5. Y'know I'd forgotten all about that. It's a hell of a contribution in this day and age.

  9. Reference the old Travel Club. My wife and I did several trips under the auspices of the Rangers Travel Club - Athens, Zurich, Parma, Copenhagen, ........ etc. They were well organised and contained three or four options on standard of hotel, length of stay and, type of ticket. It was the Ticket Office staff that administered the travel club and provided an excellent service. Why did Rangers change something that was working so well?

  11. Just watched the highlights again, what a ball that was for Dessers first goal from big Souttar, superb. We're playing some fantastic football, but its also great to see how PC allows/wants us to go direct when it's on. Having players with the great distribution that both centre halves possess is a huge advantage.

  15. In the days before TV, listening to radio commentary by Raymond Glendenning with inter-round summaries by J Barrington-Dalby, fighters always seemed to come from Poplar, or Stepney, Glasgow, Liverpool, or Tiger Bay in Cardiff. I used to think you had to be a docker before starting boxing. Here’s another fighter. One of the best. Sammy Cox the Darvel Marvel.

  16. I remember when this 'I played for the team i loved' came out from Rangers and it triggered a massive meltdown from Hugh Keevins. 'He also played for and loved Clydebank and Motherwell' cried the minute nasal whiner. I'm sure he did love them both but not like he loved Rangers. Probably same way Hugh loves Clydebank and Celtic.

  17. Implications for supporters clubs as well. Our usual bus company have most / all of their buses dedicated to contracted school runs, so we'll be struggling to get a bus. Dare say most coach companies will be the same.
